Imho, its way too subjective.

I find it funny how teachers are trying to teach us how to answer HSC essay questions in test conditions - everyone's gonna take the whole HSC year to rote learn and adapt them anyway.

Wow, wish we did that. There are probably so many resources (past papers etc.) out there for that and it appears to be a better simulation for the HSC.

What are other schools doing as their Preliminary AOS for Term 1 (English)? Assuming this is actually in fact a thing and not something my school made up.

Accel. A tip (from an unreliable source but take it anyway) - make sure you understand the use of calculus when learning about it and that you don't just treat it as numbers on a page. It's much better to have conceptual knowledge when it comes to Integration in year 12.

Yes it is! I know this post is old, but I think everyone should be aware of how great it is to complete a cert 3 for free at Tafe (with the option of doing it online concurrently with your studies). In NSW it is called Financial Services - Accounts Administration and you can even pick it up...

I'm not sure your reasoning behind it, but I would recommend you don't think about what you're going to drop yet and instead go into this year open to whatever the outcome is. You might realise Modern is going really well for you and might be your saving grace if you're not doing so well in Chem...

My school is using a textbook published by Macmillan called Physics 1. It was co-written by my physics teacher and I think it provides examples and questions that are really easy to understand and therefore I highly recommend it. I'm not too sure where you can buy it but a quick google search...

If I were in your position I would: Continue IPT and choose SDD instead of Physics so that the knowledge can kind of transfer between the two subjects - SDD really isn't that hard. I think you can learn Japanese anywhere anytime whereas something like SDD or IPT are hard to learn alone...

At the moment, I'm doing Legal Studies but I am seriously considering changing to Chemistry. I would love to do Law in University but I know it's not a prerequisite, and I'm not the best at English. I feel like trying to become better at English will be more stressful than attempting...
