    UWS academic scholarship?

only reason to majorly consider UWS would be if you have the confidence that you can get a good GPA and if/when you retake the UMAT get a competitive score to gain a 1st year transfer. Otherwise, Usyd sounds really good.

    $15 LESSON! Biology (96) + Chemistry (93) HSC Tuition // BLACKTOWN-PARRA

cheers! Yeah, to be honest I was hoping for a much better chemistry mark of 95. Admittedly I kinda stuffed up under exam conditions and pressure in the final extended response and didn't have the opportunity to recheck my calculations.

    UWS academic scholarship?

ah right. TBH, if I had those two options I'd probably go with Usyd.. prestige + most likely better career prospects. Although, if your looking to do postgrad med, having a double degree (5yr) undergrad course would probably be too long and too much work.

    UWS academic scholarship?

ah k fair enough.. 12 hours a week isn't too bad, legally minimum wage is $12 aswell.. but alot of places don't abide by that. So are you for sure going to Usyd now?

    Calling all high achievers.

    77 raw doesn't exist.. its 70 raw and that = 100th percentile.

    UWS academic scholarship?

ahh k, yeah the scholarship is very leadership based, with definite emphasis on a desire to become an ambassador for UWS. ah that's fair enough.. just try get a casual/part time job? should earn you a fair amount - assuming you'd get about 15+ hrs/week during uni.

    UWS academic scholarship?

Ahh, leadership and community involvement is quite a large aspect of the scholarship.. however, if you didn't happen to do these things, i'm preety sure some people just BS it. Anyway, do the course that you want - depending on the future career you want, the scholarship shouldn't mean much...

    Calling all high achievers.

minimum for UNSW is 96 and with that you need 100 percentile UMAT.. so as mnmaa said for UNSW med 99 is needed to have a competitive chance. But UWS and UNE are an option and the ATAR cut offs are about 93/95 depending on GWS.. but still require solid UMATs.

    UWS academic scholarship?

shoulda applied for the 10k/yr vice chancellor's scholarship.. you never know.

    Chances of getting accepted

what do you mean by compete? You still have late round offers and then final round offers.
  11. D

    Chances of getting accepted

i'd think that you'd have quite a good chance.. why? what did you receive during main rounds?

    please help me?

ahh right, okay. I didn't know that.. alright, yeah best to follow Shadowdude's advise and do arts at unsw/usyd then internal transfer to commerce.

    Which UWS campus is best?

how was the 3rd one? haha in terms of social life, which one is the best? I'm tossing up between campbelltown and parramatta.
  14. D

    please help me?

but if the course is completely different.. there will be no units to credit? =/
  15. D

    please help me?

i'd choose commerce at uws and then try to transfer to UNSW/USYD commerce. You'll need a relatively high GPA -> credit/distinction average to obtain the transfer. But the benefits of choosing commerce @ uws over choosing arts and science is that once you transfer some of your units may be...

Transfer to med/dent from Eng/comm unsw possible?

your chances will not be affected.. it doesn't matter what undergraduate degree you do, as long as you achieve a high GPA.. preferably D-average and a competitive UMAT, preferably 180+ then you should have a decent chance of receiving an interview. In my knowledge, they will only look at your...

    Secondary Science Teaching/Education

Oh okay looking over it.. did you just look at the units and the courses they corresponded to? If so, does that mean as long as the units correspond to the course: B Science (Biological Science) or B Science (Chemistry), that they will be counted and allow me to teach secondary? If so, many of...

    Secondary Science Teaching/Education

Thank you immensely for that! How did you "check the subjects", where in the description does it say that it will be eligible to count towards a B Science (biology or chemistry)?

    Secondary Science Teaching/Education

Firstly, after doing some research the Masters of Teaching is 1 year (accelerated) at UWS, 1 year at UNSW, but 2 years at USYD. Secondly, I looked on the NSW Institute of Teachers website and this is what it says: "Chemistry – 3-year sequence (6 units) in science, with at least 4 units at...
