Just a general tip if people are really stuck on composition (based on my experience) - if you can work out a really awesome chord progression, half your work is already done. :) Make sure it's interesting and different enough (eg not just standard 1 - 6 - 4 - 5 or whatever), but still...

If they do ask you something that's 'really obscure' and you have no idea how to answer - just tell them that you're not really sure how to answer (rather than try and bluff your way through it, or stand there staring into space going 'Umm...ah, well...um...') As long as this doesn't happen...
