Well I suppose difficulty is subjective so I may find a fine arts degree much harder than a science degree which would differ from person to person. But really when it comes down to it the ATAR cut offs are ultimately reflective of demand / universities standards. As opposed to the difficulty.

I would just say if you're that keen on learing HSC work, get the HSC and the Prelim textbook, do the HSC work and if you can't get the concept then go back to prelim book.

I would say the hatred on this forum for the most part is because majority of the people on this forum are math and science orientated. I'm not saying that people can't be good at maths, science and english, but there is usually a correlation of good at maths therefore bad at english looking in...

To get 94 in advanced english you'll need the combination of excelent ablity and hardwork. i.e. for the very top english students the essays come naturally to them with out much work. Whereas for people like me I'm not so talented and I have to put in lots of effort to get the same result. Also...

Cohort size is the amount of people in your class. It would also help if you stated your rank in the classes.

With those marks your probably looking at an HSC mark of about 92-93

Having a attitute where semi-bombing out a maths exam is the end of your life, you are setting yourself up for failure. Honestly with the marks that you lost, there still would be people out there who would aspire to be as good as you at mathematics. You really need to grow up and look at things...
