    Help with focus subjects

    Don't look at marks.. ask yourself, am I one of the top 5% of people doing IT? and am I one of the top 10% in the mathematics course? Marks for subjects such as IT and IPT tends to be crunched up in 80s and you will need to get 90s for it to be good for UAI

    help with estimate please

    95+.. but again.. it's all up to you(your performance in the externals). I was in a very similar situation last year when I did my HSC.

    another question... circle geometry

    Let CE=ED = x let EA = EB = y |AD^2 - BE^2| = |(x+y)^2 - (x-y)^2| = 4xy But CPE is similar to AEO (why? consider angle sum at E) so EA/OA = PC/EC EC*EA = OA * PC = product of radii xy = product of radii 4xy = product of diameter

    3 unit is 2 hard :(

    It's strongly recommended that you do 3 unit maths if you are touching anything relating to engineering, computers, science, economics, finance etc in uni.

    complex problem

    a.)z= x+iy x>ky or x<ky for some k for all x+iy representing z. so add them all up ie x_1 + x_2 + ... and y_1 + y_2 + ... and you have sum of x > k* sum of y or the other way around, so it cannot be 0. b.) hmm 1/z will rotate z by Pi radians about the origin.. so.. the points go to the...

    help - eddy currents

    compare(eddy currents, induced current) output -> same sh*t the difference is where the current is induced, if it is induced in a metal core and completes a circuit without much resistance, it would be called an eddy current, while if it is induced in a wire, it's not.

    Comm/Sci and actuarial

    no computing is bad.. coz in practice there are a lot of things done numerically. by the way, what are the formats of the exams and assessment tasks?

    mod arithmetic question

    don't you guys have a DM test next week? I thought I heard that from my mates.

    mod arithmetic question

    from what you have a = km + b b = a - km b is divisible by gcd(a,m) similarly a is divisible by gcd(b.m) so gcd(a,m), gcd(b,m) are divisors of a,b and m so gcd(a,m)<= gcd(b,m) also gcd(b,m) <= gcd(a,m) hence we conclude they are equal. good luck next week
