    How hard are your exams?

Teachers tend to make 2U exams so easy that it can only differentiate people in 2u. It just seems like they forgot the presence of 3U people sitting the same assessment task.

    How hard are your exams?

Our 2u maths exams were also pretty easy despite a little low average. The school average (if I can correctly remember) ranged from about 55~75%, I think. Mark ranged from the lowest being 0~15% to the highest being 98~100%. The fact that there were several 'highest's means that exams need to...

    right track?

There is a mistake at exactly where you highlighted. y-4=-9x-9 is y=-9x-5. Otherwise, correct solution.

    Fitzpatrick Polynomial Question

    \\$Sum of roots=a+b+c=-3. \\b+c=-3-a, a+c=-3-b, a+b=-3-c \\a^2(b+c) + b^2(a+c) + c^2(a+b) \\=-a^2(3+a)-b^2(3+b)-c^2(3+c) \\=-3(a^2+b^2+c^2)-(a^3+b^3+c^3) \\=-3((a+b+c)^2-2(ab+bc+ca))-(a^3+b^3+c^3) \\$where you know a+b+c(sum of roots) and ab+bc+ca(sum of roots taken two at a time)...

    Mechanics

I was confused greatly about this too when I first studied mechanics (Frankly speaking, I still am). But textbooks make it unclear. For example, Fitzpatrick one varies from question to question in the exercise and cambridge exercises always include m in resistive force although it sometimes...

    Mechanics

You are right if and only if Force=kv^n but I'm saying that in many cases in textbooks, acceleration=kv^n, not force.

    Mechanics

If the book is right about saying R(v)=kv is the resistive FORCE, the answer is wrong as you pointed out. But usually, R(v)=kv^n refers to acceleration, I think.

what is the best jump in rank you have ever had or seen someone else experience

from 15th in the year to 1st in chem in yr 11 and one of my friends jumped from nearly the last of the year to about mid-range rank in maths.(i think he improved by several thousand percent in terms of mark)

    help on prac question

20 grams of CaCO3 neutralised HCl completely. Hence adding more CaCO3 when m<20grams led to steady production of CO2, but after using up all H3O+ in HCL when m=20grams, no reaction occurs, stopping the production of CO2. CaCO3(s)+2HCL(aq)->CO2(g)+H2O(l)+CaCl2(aq) I did it qualitatively but...

E_K=hf=\frac{1}{2}mv^2$ as all of photon's energy is used to accelerate an electron (I interpreted in this way since no work function was given)$ \\v=\sqrt{\frac{2hf}{m}}ms^{-1} \\$Sub in the values of h, f, and m.

Tutoring Geography, Chem, History and Maths

2 unit maths is a pre-requisite for 3 unit and 4 unit maths. 4 Unit students do not sit the 2 unit HSC paper, but in most cases, still do trials.
