Don't go crazy and buy books for every subject. It's not needed in year 11. Get textbooks for math, chem & physics. Your school should provide you with the text book for Business Studies, so you don't need to buy another. For math - get Cambridge. :)

For 09'ers, doing the past english papers will be useless as the syllabus is changing. But, for all other subjects - It will help. :) If you have two VET courses and one of them is your 12th unit, you'll recieve a uai but, if you do two VET courses and have only 10 units, you wont get a uai...

If you've been learning with a proper instructor, he or she should give you a few prac tests before hand in the area - taking you through some of the routes. The 45 minute test applies to all RTAs now. You'll be tested in your local area + your nearest motorway.
