Did anybody get close to 90 and order their raw marks for MX1 and MX2? Does anybody have an educated guess to the cut offs? What's been the range for the cut-offs for the past few years?

You can easily get 80-85 ATAR with those subjects. Doing well in anything correlates with a solid atar aggregate for that subject. Besides, English and Maths account for only 40% of your atar, think about the remaining 60% too.

You can get a 90 atar with any set of subjects dude. I had a mate in 2010, who completed his HSC with Adv. English, General Maths, Modern History, CAFS and Society and Culture, and he got a 97 ATAR. Doing Standard English and Industrial Tech only stops you from getting 99.95.
