    Industrial chem or shipwecks?

Industrial....tis easier to crap on about and electrochemistry is too boring. We do enough in production of materials Once you get the four processes down in Industrial there's not much left to learn. Plus, the only chemical equations u need to know are half reactions that are kind of covered...

How do u find the area bounded by the parabola and the latus rectum

You multiply the answer by 2 because the integral of root(4ay) only takes into account the positive root. ie everything on the right hand side of the y axis. So do the integral from 0 - a of root(4ay) . dy and multiply by 2 to take into account both sides of the y axis.

mmm kay.....I was reading the UAC guide today and noticed that their is flexible entry offered for Arts Media and Comms by proving aptitude for the course and any relevant experience. Has anyone done this and konw what the deal is? How strict they are about letting people in?

    Reliability - Accuracy or Reproducibility???

The system is accurate, but not precise Accuracy and Precision are the two terms I learned. Accuracy = fire lots of arrows at the target and hit the target every time Precise = fire one arrow at the target and get a bullseye

    Freaking Out...

Probably the only valuable thing english has taught over the past two years is how to write succinctly....really really succinctly I've actually managed to make most of my essays quite dense except Lear....i hate Lear :burn:

    UgayI Predicktion

School's quite small....73 do english, 31 maths, about 18 for chem, modern and physics and only 8 for 3unit (I beat everyone by 20% in the trial though, i was just lazy for the rest of the year) Assuming I ace the external....98-99 possible???

    Dropping Mathematics.

Maths is quite a valuable subject so don't be too hasty in dropping it. Talk to you're teacher and get feedback on how they think you're going. If you're truly not understanding the concepts maybe dropping is the way to go, but if you're teacher just sets hard exams then you may be better off...

    Reliability - Accuracy or Reproducibility???

My understanding is that validity = accuracy of the results while reliability = reliability of the experimental method AND subsequent reproducability of the results (though I suppose this could be a way to test reliability) yes or no??

Numbe of words in 40 minutes

Quality > Quantity. If you can write in under 1000 and its exceptionally good obviously that's better. I'd say a good target is 1000 - 1200. Be succinct and to the point in both essays and creative writing. No less than you need to answer the question, no more than necessary. EDIT: I think I've...

Creative Writing Piece, a little help

Band 3/4 Fairly limited range of expression. At times you use boring descriptions such as 'big, scary' and at other times you go way over the top with the adjectives. You need to strike a balance between descriptive writing and short punchy lines. Secondly, it takes waaaaay too long to get...

    use of words

Yes you can. Every year (literally I think) there is a personal response question. This means that you have to specifically refer to how it has affected you. For example, I do Brave New World and Blade Runner and had a personal response question in my trial. I would uses phrases such as 'the...

Need help year 9 topic science

You should really consider ditching the Science study and going back to English because I have very little idea what you're talking about. Parallel and Series are two different ways of wiring a circuit. In series, if part of the circuit is broken (most often by a bulb blowing) the entire...
