    How do you derive this?

Actually you can't make y the subject lol. Leave the question since it is for MX2 only. Yeah lol dw about it.

    How do you derive this?

If this is Ext1, you will need to rearrange the equation so that y is the subject.

    How do you derive this?

Do you mean differentiate? If so, did you mean: $Find the derivative of $\\ x^2+y^2-x^2y = 7? You need to differentiate both sides with respect to x, remembering that y is a function of x - i.e. y=y(x) so then apply this knowledge when you do: \dfrac{d}{dx}(x^2+y^2-x^2y(x)) =...

USYD Bachelor of Science (Advanced Mathematics) Question

You can go into research/academic, statistics (ABS etc), various places where high level mathematical modelling in science is needed (mathematical biology, theoretical physics etc). Any university course is as stressful as YOU make it out to be...basically depends on what grades you want to...

    What happened???

lol what the fuck its not a lottery. a human (maybe 2) will use their optic lenses and cones to attempt to decipher ink on a page. If you 'didn't want it to happen to you' then you should have put in a blank page because they need to have something there to give you marks.

    What happened???

...so, someone told you and you were like: nah you don't know what you're on about douevenmark???
  8. asianese

    What happened???

Nah lol they usually work weeknights 4-9PM and saturdays 8.30-4.30 with 1 hour breaks. Some others work 9-5.30 in a school day. (Worked at the board.) Onscreen is usually all done 4-9PM.
  9. asianese

    What happened???

Yeah they do their best but if the WHOLE script is like that it makes your reflects poorly on your paper and will impact your mark giving. I don't know the extent of your 'messiness' - myabe you can scan us the papers? If it's some minor detail then they will pass it around and try and decipher.

    What happened???

It is fair. They are not robots that can read your mind. They are humans with eyes. Also those people get scribes.
  11. asianese

    What happened???

Haya about messy writing - I've talked to various markers - if they can't read it, they move on. They don't have time to decipher shit. They are on a schedule. Applies to ALL subjects esp English, but maths also if your 0s turn into 9s and you cross shit out like no tomorrow. Hope your dad...

Difference between Bachelor of Actuarial Studies and combined w/ Commerce?

Up to you...if there are more exotic majors you want to do in BComm then it may be a good option. Most people like to do 2 degrees now because 1 degree is too mainstream (not even joking)

Difference between Bachelor of Actuarial Studies and combined w/ Commerce?

No. When Bachelor of Actuarial Studies came out, the option to do a major in Actuarial Studies WITHIN B Commerce was disallowed. So basically the difference is, B Comm / B Actl is TWO degrees, and B Actl is one degree.

Scaling doesn't have anything to do with difficulty between years. Scaling had to do with Student cohort performance in that year alone.

Do you get a WAM on your transcript if you only done 1 semester of study?

I think with USYD they'll only calculate your WAM if you are needing it to qualify for some programs (Talented Student Program for example)? Or ranking of exchange applications etc. But not an actual 'This is your degree with your WAM.' thing
