    Conics Question - Ellipse.

No, this is incorrect. Complex numbers do not need to have both real and imaginary parts. E.g. real number system belongs to complex number system. A number that has both of those parts is a non-real complex number that is not purely imaginary.

Question about UNSW Scholarship for Academic Achievement

I'm in the same situation as you

Is doing three sciences without mathematics unwise?

I only did Chemistry and Physics but I can assure that Biology has less maths component in it than those two. In terms of maths, Physics>Chemistry The required knowledge in terms of mathematics is really Year 10 maths because about all you need is substitution and rearranging. However, I guess...

    Complex Numbers Question

    z=cos\theta+isin\theta \\z^n=cosn\theta+isinn\theta \\z^{-n}=cos(-n\theta)+isin(-n\theta) \\=cosn\theta-isinn\theta \\=\frac{1}{z^n} \\z^n+\frac{1}{z^n}=2cosn\theta

Who thinks they are going to get 99.95 ATAR this year?

LOL thanks for that but I don't think I'll get 99.95

    Complex Numbers Question

\\sin2\theta=2sin\theta cos\theta \\1+(cos2\theta)\\=1+(cos^2\theta-sin^2\theta)\\=cos^2\theta+(1-sin^2\theta)\\=2cos^2\theta$ using $sin^2\theta+cos^2\theta=1 These are the ones I used. lol GUESSSSSSSSSSSSS already posted it up.

    Complex Numbers Question

    $Let $z=1+cos\theta+isin\theta \\\left | z \right |=\sqrt{(1+cos\theta)^2+sin^2\theta} \\=\sqrt{2+2cos\theta}\\=\sqrt{2(1+cos\theta)}\\=\sqrt{4cos^2\frac{\theta}{2}}\\=2cos\frac{\theta}{2}\\$For $Im(z)>0$, \\$argz=tan^{-1}(\frac{sin\theta}{1+cos\theta})$ since $cos\frac{\theta}{2}\geq 0$...

Who thinks they are going to get 99.95 ATAR this year?

I sorta agree, actually. 99+ is certainly doable with 3-4 hrs a day because this is, in my opinion, an adequate amount of time required to consolidate the day's learning at school or to study ahead. I think it is the procrastination that people cannot resist. That's so true. However, somehow...

Who thinks they are going to get 99.95 ATAR this year?

lol nah, I didn't have very good luck this year. E.g. Chem shipwrecks option had no restoration stuff which I spent a lot of time on to memorise. And I hated MX2 test (harder than last 3 yrs' papers for me)

    Ethanol as a fuel

best way of putting it, IMO

    Was that a Maths exam?

LOL I think your prediction was spot on.

    Was that a Maths exam?

Hmm... I see So even if they don't say 'substitution,' it means just substitution?

    Was that a Maths exam?

Now that we are using some real data and arguing objectively, I decided to comment on this. 2007 HSC Question 16 (b) (ii)Calculate the horizontal velocity of the ball bearing released from a height of 80 cm above point P. 2marks Calculates correct velocity for range chosen 2 Question...

    Was that a Maths exam?

I know. But that's not what I've been talking about. I was simply proving the fact that the marking scheme has nothing to do with cutting the course down, which you mentioned in order to assist your argument that your teacher is godly at HSC Physics in presumably all aspects because that's...

    Assessment Task: The Acidic Environment

Wtf... That's a very easy assessment task because direct answers will be all given in notes that are available on BOS and also textbooks

    Was that a Maths exam?

Still doesn't really say anything definite Knowing a person with power=/=God And marking scheme has nothing to do with cutting the course down But lol... I don't really want to take part in the argument (although I did by showing my opinion).

    Was that a Maths exam?

I think this debate is totally useless and stupid. I'm sure that if you guys couldn't reach an agreement till now, you are unlikely to do so in the future. Wait for the results that will be out on the 16th Dec. Then you guys will see whose Physics knowledge was more superior at the time of...
