    B.Com (Information systems)

from what I heard and as far as I see it.. INFS is watered down computer science. Whenever a university course states that they are combining this and that and that.. you know they aren't doing anyting properly

    Syllabus development

I agree in principle, but disagree with it nevertheless because if this idea is picked up by syllabus committees, it would definitely lead to a decline in mathematical ability. I think it will be implemented so that basic arithmetic will be given less prominence and there will be more and more...

    Lots of Harder Questions

1.) oh sorry 2 to n works too.. coz U(1) = 0.. so 1 to n is same as 2 to n 2.) the harder 3 unit induction part 3.) oops Yeah made a mistake.. the question is right.. what you do is you prove that (a(1)*a(2)*...*a(n))^(1/n) >= sqrt(n/(a(1)^-2 + a(2)^-2 + ...)) (use the AM GM), then you can...

who to invite to yr12 formal? from school, or outta school?

Does it really matter.. in theory one should be spending most time talking to other people and not who they arrived with. If you invite someone from outside, then they better know a few people at the formal or they need to be good at socialising.. else you are obliged to stay with them for most...

    Lots of Harder Questions

    1. i) binomial theorem.. 3 unit stuff ANS: 6C3 * 2^-6 ii) One way to think about this is conditioning.. given that there are exactly 3 even scores what's the probability of them being different? This is 1*(2/3)*(1/3) = 2/9 so the answer to this part will be 2/9 * 6C3 * 2^-6 iii) That will be the...

    What's your sexuality?

But everyone has a label, no matter how unique one imagines oneself to be, one must either be attracted to the other sex exclusively, attracted to both sexes, attracted to their own sex only or to neither. More than half of whats on the forum is not much of a big deal anyway. It's not that this...

    Best tutoring colleges

But postmodernism encourages arguments against anything but postmodernism itself.. If one adopts such philosphy to the full extent, then one should only deduct marks for grammar and spelling errors because they would have no reason to deduct marks for what they think is a bad argument.

    Syllabus development

A good syllabus is of no use when students don't study the subjects. universities should bring back the prerequisites

    question help - thanks

    12(x^3 - 4x^2 - 3x + 18) = 12(x+2)(x-3)^2 think that solves the question (both a and b)

    Non HSC Maths Marathon

So picky... Prove that a topology strictly stronger than a compact hausdorff topology on a given space is not compact, and a strictly weaker topology is not hausdorff.

    Coaching rates?

hmm Depends on how much the tutor does.. for private tutoring the tutor should be doing atleast half an hour of work utside for each hour of contact. so I think 30 will be fair. If the tutor doesn't do much then 20ish. Add some for eastern suburbs and the north, take some away for the west

is it rude to uninvite a guy to your formal??

Maybe there's a reason for the existence of the phrase "gentlemen's agreement" and not "ladies' agreement". Think of karma too :P
