    Shakespeare-Favourite play!!!

I like Merchant of Venice, Othello and Macbeth equally - the characterisation of the female support roles of Portia, Lady Macbeth and Desdemona in each play are especially good.

How do I drop Maths 2 Unit without my Mum potentially killing me? :(

Subjects I am definitely keeping for Year 12: * English Advanced (1st in Grade) * English Extension 1 (1st in Grade) * Legal Studies (1st in Grade) * Economics (2nd in Grade) Subjects I am considering taking up/dropping (I am only dropping one): Maybe taking up: English Extension 2 (I...

worst/best english novel you have ever read in school?

Our English class didn't read To Kill a Mocking Bird. The other classes were, but we were too busy reading "Wrack" which had dialogue... *shudders* ...dialogue without any speech marks or any marks to show that is was actually dialogue at all. It drove me insane.

which is harder: modern or ancient history

I think ancient might be a bit harder since you have to know more dates and names that can be more easily forgotten, and studying ancient history can get confusing sometimes since if focuses a lot on foreign cultures and traditions, rather than global culture that is usually emphasised in modern...

    Looking forward to year 12?

I think time passed way too fast this year and now it's almost the end of year 11... :(

Anyone have any techniques/tips on how to write faster?

I can only manage to spew out around 800 words per 40 minutes in my English exams with messy writing, no thinking time and no editing time either. I really want to do better and hopefully double that amount, because at the moment I'm finding I'm not able to express myself properly (e.g. cutting...

    Anyone into Film Directing?

I'm extremely interested in writing the scripts (but for television shows, rather than films).

    Religious affiliation

I'm an atheist. My non-belief in God(s) is not all because of science (though it plays a large factor) but mainly because I don't really feel like worshipping something like the Biblical God and other such Gods which are portrayed as extremely discriminatory in religious texts.

Are there any Film Studies courses at any universities in Sydney?

I would want to to do any course that focused around Film Study, or more specifically screenwriting. Are there any courses in any universities in Sydney (not just Sydney Uni) that would focus on this - or where would be the best places to get a foundation so it would be easier to enter the...

    Favourtest Show

Firefly, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Buffy and The X-Files. They are the best.
  13. E

    Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

I like it, although some scenes are not as good as they could be. Summer Glau is the best though. She's a really great actor - if anyone watches Firefly you would understand.

    What are you currently Reading?

For English Advanced, I just read "Wrack" (australian author) - it was very poetic and descriptive. I liked everything except the conclusion, which was predictable and sadistic. I felt like I had been tortured through reading the last few chapters for nothing - which might have been the authors...

    SC 2007 - Science

Hey everyone. Does anyone remember the question in the exam that related to the processes involved in producing a chemical or metal substance? I can't particularly remember the name of the chemical, but we had to draw a diagram of the chemical processes that were referenced to in the sources...
