what jobs are there similar to doctor?

I reckon being a doctor is one of the most soul draining occupations that pay above 100k+ 😭😭 Unless you mean being a GP but the amount of study you still have to do is crazy

    Bridging course

Don't even bother Unless you're doing electrical engineering, you'll probably only need to take phys1a, half of which is projectile motion/universal gravitation/torque and mechanics stuff and the other half is chemistry (ideal gas law/thermodynamics/power transfer) It's a pass/fail (doesn't...

    Bridging course

There were things that even caught me off guard as an ext 2 student, namely the epsilon delta definition of a limit which my hs teacher only showed me for fun (or maybe he already knew I'd see this in 1st year idk) But again, as long as you grind the weekly problem sets and don't fall behind...

    thinking of switching degrees...

Fyi, the estimate that unsw gives for degree duration is only under the assumption that you'll do 3 courses every trimester which is pretty unrealistic for hard degrees Adding 0.5-1.5 years to the duration would probs be more accurate

    Bridging course

Imo don't take the bridging course The 1st year math courses aren't overwhelmingly difficult for adv math students to the point where you'll need it Just revise and learn ext 1 and 2 (except proofs) a month before uni starts and be on top of your studies, you'll be fine

WHY DO PEOPLE CRY ABOUT UNSW TRIMESTERS

bro fr, complainers should cope + skill diff
  7. wollongong warrior

Were you allowed to keep your graduation caps and cloaks?

bro it has been a year since they graduated 😭😭

    sf in maths

    just give exact expression (whatever exponential, log etc) and give 2dp e.g. x = ln(2312)/3 ≈ 2.58

is doing a masters degree worth it?

That's true On the topic of integrated degrees: you won't need to waste money on general education if you do pursue one since it's counted as a double degree (at unsw at least)

deriving the formula for velocity on a banked track

Equate forces parallel with the track Equate forces perpendicular to the track Ncos(theta) = ... -(1) Nsin(theta) = ... -(2) Divide (2) by (1) Make v the subject

is doing a masters degree worth it?

Masters are moreso if you want to pursue academia Masters is only relevant if you can't secure an internship by the end of the degree

if somebody got a low atar for the course i want and if i get that low atar can i get into the course?

Why would it be counter-intuitive? Student demonstrates that they do decent in subjects relevant to the degree, give them an extra boost, student is happy they got into the degree, uni is happy because they got 40-50k

What should I do to get an ATAR of 99.95?

yea tbh, if parents are paying like 50k/yr for tuition then there isn't really a need for a part-time job
  14. wollongong warrior

what early entry courses should i apply too??

what is that question 💀 there is no best course
  15. wollongong warrior

What should I do to get an ATAR of 99.95?

internships and experience in med/stem (not sure about music) in year 10 is 💀 At this stage, if you get it, it's purely nepotism unless you're some genius prodigy that has 3 patents already Just do fast food or, better, retail, even cafes are a nice job in hs, your dad needs to chill out
  16. wollongong warrior

What should I do to get an ATAR of 99.95?

Unless you're pursuing law or med, any atar above 95 is enough to get into any degree (considering if you took your subjects based off of selection points)
  17. wollongong warrior

What should I do to get an ATAR of 99.95?

Pick high scaling subjects: 4u maths, sciences, etc Be tutored (resources, question banks, etc) (unfortunately, nsw school system and the tutoring system are mutually beneficial to each other so if you find a good tutoring place, the advantage you have is crazy) Finish content few terms before...

    HSC hot takes

Mfw all band 6s in humanities results in a low 90s atar, high band 5s in sciences and maths results in mid-high 90s 🤣🤣 nesa is my pookie

should ik perms and combs for year 12 (3u/4u)

Pretty sure there's binomial stuff in mx1 which uses combs, you shouldn't need it for mx2 unless nesa cooks up a crazy q16
