OT: Is a scholarship a 'selling point' on a resume?

Anyone interested in practising law in a country town?

Idiots and irrational people are less likely to be encountered when your clients are businesspeople rather than Joe Blow with a minor dispute.

    legal secretary - good experience?

It's really weird that they called up and asked for references without even seeing me. It's not a good sign, is it?

Anyone interested in practising law in a country town?

I wouldn't chose my career based on avoiding uni debt. Although I like the idea of living somewhere quiet, I think I'd be bored living in a small town with relatively few people. I also think that I'd like to start in a large company to begin with, then move somewhere smaller once I've had a...

    legal secretary - good experience?

Is a legal secretary job for a barrister worth pursuing? The only requirement they stated was that I be good at typing. I think they specified that they wanted a law student, however. I don't want to leave my current job in order to do something that won't be a good learning experience. It's 2-3...

I don't understand what that means. Is the work paid?

    Backpacks for uni

i use a caribee backpack. i hate those people walking around in shoulder bags packed with heavy books. it shows they care more about "looking cool" than whether they're hurting their shoulders or spending the day uncomfortable.

how often do u wash ur hair?

your hair gets hooked on shampoo, which is why heaps of people can't go a day without it before their hair is greasy and shit. it has detergant-like ingredients that strip natural oils. and you hair doesn't get dirty in a normal day or two, unless you're a mechanic. i had to wean myself off it.

    Stupid Law Bellcurving

The difference is between 0 and 8 percent. The average difference would probably be 4 per cent. You could either argue either way whether that's a massive difference.

    who here works two jobs?

You can fill out a form to alter the % tax if that happens, sf. I've worked 2 jobs before and I didn't find that I was taxed too much. I got the extra back in the end.

how often do u wash ur hair?

I wash with water almost every day, but shampoo and conditioner only once or twice a week. I probably wouldn't use shampoo at all if I didn't have dandruff.

    the pill

few years, i've changed between estelle and juliette.

    Laser Eye Surgery

That's what bothers me - the odds of getting it done with NO problems aren't so great. I mean, odds are I won't have massive problems, but from what I can tell, I am fairly likely to have issues that could be as, or more, annoying than glasses are. I wonder how long even a successful patient...

    the pill

anyone had their hair get thinner on the pill? mine is, i'm getting fucking pissed off at my doctor for not telling me that the pill could be causing it.

    Law Review Unit

Has anyone worked at their uni's law review? Not as a unit, just as a job.

    the pill

I'm fairly sure it was my doctor who told me this, a long time ago though. What do you mean some are 21, some are 28? All of them keep you on the same cycle, some just provide sugar tablets rather than you taking a 7 break from tablets. Those white tablets do nothing. I just changed (Estelle to...

    the pill

I just bought a three month supply for $24.95. Juliet, I think. Which is a few dollars cheaper than Estelle. You don't need expensive pills to get the job done, that's silly. I've been on the cheapest one available and my skin is much better than it is without them. Not oily, but not dry...

What do you think about this: SUNSCREEN DEBATE

When I started, I wasn't thinking about any of this.

Did you just put 'they are expensive' in the pros column? Lame.
