    Are all Korean guys chauvinist?

Yeah most Korean guys are like that. 2 years ago, I went to USYD O-week and lol, one of the Korean societies there at the time had this t-shirt with "오빠라불러줘" on the back... I'm a male myself but I was like "ewww...." and decided not to join any Korean societies from then on. It's indeed about...

How do I become a doctor?

I know I'm not the one who's been asked this question but year 12 bio isn't needed for sure (well, I haven't done it and I've coped well with biochem, pharm, etc). But basic chem knowledge, I'd say, is essential. At the very least year 11 chem and some parts of year 12 chem like acids and bases...

How hard you have to work for HD's?

While that's mostly true, some lecturers are quite shit and I've found that I don't learn anything much even if i go to those lectures. Also, some people WILL indeed study at home for it, e.g. me for MATH2965 at usyd. So I'd say only skip lectures if you are sure it doesn't help much/you know...

Does equipment list need quantity of solutions used?

Oh wait, EDIT: is this for experimental reports? in which case you'd be more specific. I replied as below assuming that you're writing your answer in an exam situation. the short answer is no. You don't generally need to specify conc or volume or mass, etc except very roughly (e.g. 5 drops...

    GPA required for UNSW law

depends on subjects. 99.95 ATAR>>90WAM if you do adv maths at usyd, i would think.

    Which maths major!?

totally agreed, I used to despise stats thinking that it's all that boring histogram stuff (and I hated perms and combs too), but now it's my fav and I'm gonna major in it. Stats is awesome.

For people who have been nerds like i was in high school: Learn the art of cramming - it's for your own good. Consistent work? PFFT. That's for high school. Discover the minimal amount of work you need to do during the sem to still be able to cram to achieve relatively good marks. The 'extra'...

MATH2965 was the only one I've done (just for fun, I'm not doing a maths major although doing a stats major), but will also do MATH2961 next sem. And sorry, I don't have it anymore. But looking at your marks (your sig), you'll do well anyhow without learning it ahead. 2965 is tedious with lots...

is it harder to get a higher gpa in some degrees than others?

Yeah, but also with some adv subjects, aligning is just so awesome that you can kinda screw up the exam and still get HD. So I don't think it matters a lot in the end. idk about med sci but relatively easy with adv sci (with some exceptions when e.g. group work kills your marks...). and...

    Engineering/Science UNSW vs USYD

Yeah, I guess so. But then I've found studying from course notes easier (and less time consuming) than from lectures. lol MATH2965, I skipped most of the lectures and tutes and still did well thanks to Kopystop notes

    Engineering/Science UNSW vs USYD

but there are awesome course notes you can buy from Kopystop?

some one who got a 97.30 ATAR without studying?

I didn't cram much for the HSC, but learnt the art of cramming at uni. IMO, it is definitely possible to achieve even higher ATAR with cramming if she understood all concepts beforehand. I did indeed study consistently for my HSC subjects, but for uni subjects (science/maths), it seems that 3...

    Students ditching science in droves

the bolded one. back to the main topic though: Personally, I think 50% is still quite a decent proportion anyway. I don't think it's low enough to be a huge concern, though if it's decreasing continuously, that's a problem. I hope they just get rid of impact on society, Einstein's and Planck's...

Why tears are wasted on HSC results

although I'd say they do correlate quite well!

    Quick Question on LDPE

except that the curly arrow doesn't look right... just put it without the arrow as it's gonna get messy and HSC doesn't require it.

Advanced maths Syd U vs UNSW

Like how UNSW people only know about their courses, I only know about Usyd courses too. Adv maths at Usyd doesn't really have a special meaning apart from that you need to do an advanced major in a maths area and the rest is just like advanced science. But having said so, I found adv maths...

Does SC mean anything?! Compare your SC and HSC here.

felt like quoting my old self here so no, SC doesn't mean anything much.

    Statistics question wtf

mean balance~N(45,100/36) approximately by the Central Limit Theorem. Note that the mean does not change and therefore the answer is simply 0.5 by symmetry of the normal density function about the mean.

    Statistics question wtf

You need to use 0.1 quantile of the standard normal distribution because the confidence interval is two sided. And I think "margin of error"=half of confidence interval length? in which case we wouldn't have times two in the front. Depends on the definition.
