    Hardest and Easiest 2U topics?

    Easiest would be co-ordinate geometry - free marks Hardest would be superannuation like everyone else is saying, probability is fairly easy. Just with superannuation, usually question's from memory are bombed with a lot of little details and linkages that you need to adress mathematically.

    Scaling

    3rd best alligned HSC mark (e.g. 80 in 3u usually --> low 90s)

    Scaling

    It doesn't matter about your raw internal mark. Ranking is all that matters to NESA. If let's say for Subject A you are coming 1st, with e.g. 55 avg, and your school traditionally gets 1 band 6 for subject A, then ye, make the assumption that you will get 90+ for the subject on the atar...

    Is anyone else feeling lazy towards the HSC or is it just me?

    I used to feel tired also just like you, despite getting plenty of sleep. For me, my c. rythm was screwed. Use http://sleepyti.me/ <-- that website. This website + a bit of motivation = good quality of sleep and energy throughout the day - well for me atleast. You might be waking up in between...

    What's everyone doing for HSC study?

    For english I just have 4 1k word essays (1 for each module and 1 for AOS) and a 800 word creative, all edited to the maximum of my ability. All I plan on doing is memorising those 1 week before Paper 1, and am going to adapt in the exam and that's pretty much it :P. Not doing anything extra...

    year 11 economics compared to year 12

    Personally, there's hardly any year 11 content that I remember, or even apply in year 12. The more you progress through the course, the more "different" concepts and topics will get (compared to yr11), and as sida1049 said, it is also more focused on current trends in australia and the global...

    HSC 2017 Predictions Thread [Economics]

    Post predictions and discussion about what questions you think will be in the 2017 Eco HSC. I reckon there's gonna be: ESD, how policies (all 3 - mp, fp and mer) have affected inequality, removal of protection, and to put the cherry on top, a CAD Q. What do you guys think?

    HSC 2017 Predictions Thread [MX1]

    Agreed, I reckon they'll chuck in a harder application of calculus Q - the ones with rates and volumes, something to do with a cone or cyliner V etc.

    HSC 2017 Predictions Thread [MX2]

    Hopefully it's one of those years with no harder probability Q in Q16 :lol: I feel like there's a cap on difficulty for topics like integration, not saying theyre easy, but how harder can they get? maybe that's just me not seeing enough hard integration Qs:P But yeah my money's on a)complex...

    90 atar possible ?

    Just put your head down and go all out to get the maximum atar possible with those ranks. Improvements need to made, execute on your mistakes and keep moving forward, don't look back. As long as you smash the HSC, an atar as high as that should be reachable, you're not exactly that low ranked...
