Would you go to law school if you had the marks to, but you didnt rrly like it that..

Re: Would you go to law school if you had the marks to, but you didnt rrly like it th Law is a career path which you have to be dedicated to if you want to succeed. Don't be fooled into thinking that Law automatically equals a high paying job. The market for graduate lawyers is over-saturated...

The only specs from the computer which I can clearly remember was the i486 CPU and the fact it ran Windows 3.1.

What happens if you don't get a ATAR that can get you into any UNI?

Bit misleading though. He was a garbo while doing a honours degree in English Lit at USYD. Anyway, you would be surprised by how many respectable career paths do not require a bachelor degree. TAFE or any other community college is always a solid option despite the stigma.

    Timetables (Semester 2, 2011)

I would presume that the staff have access to a dynamic database of students in their tute, otherwise it would seem rather neolithic. Besides, if you just show them a print out of your timetable and you aren't on the class list, they will happily add you from past experience.

    My advise to first years

You also have to take into account that the workload for a group assignment is set accordingly so that maximum marks can only be achieved by effort from multiple individuals.

    Timetables (Semester 2, 2011)

When you say enrolling for next semester, do you mean the one coming up next week or Semester 1 in 2012?

    Timetables (Semester 2, 2011)

You aren't able to do that over MyUni but going to a timetable advisor provided you have an acceptable reason, should allow you to obtain a more desirable timetable if spots are available in those classes.

Marks are fitted to a bell curve so you may find that your unit may have been particularly difficult in this case.

    Uni Course thread

Cheers, thanks for the heads up. I'm not too sure how Intermediate Macro is going to pan out considering I will be doing it in Semester 2 but if it is anything like Introductory Macro, I'm going to find it difficult.

You could always choose to do a general degree like B. Science and then either transfer to another degree or just establish your majors.

    semester 1 results

I'm wondering why it is taking so long for the GEOS2112 results to come out. Our final exam was on the last week of semester (thus nothing during the actual exam period) yet nothing.

    Case studies for exams

To get the top marks, it is essential that you use various case studies when answering a question. Most students often come into an exam knowing at least one business very well while supplementing this with additional examples which you should be able to refer to off the top of your head. I do...

21st June - AGEC2103 22nd June - AGEC2105 23rd June - ECOS2001 Pleased that the GEOS2112 exams are during lecture hours and they aren't too difficult. Other unit co-ordinators could learn from this and follow suit.

    2011 Chatter Thread

Re: Semester 1 Chatter Thread (2011) 20 minutes till my Intermediate Microeconomics exam. Absolutely hate how they choose to schedule these exams in the evening. There's that whole build-up to it fir the whole day and that can really get on my nerves. These evening economics mid-sem exams are...

Just an extra note for the toilets in Heydon Laurence, There are showers adjacent to the urinals and the walls are painted blood red. Very quaint.

    Studying At Uni

The universities hit you hard for plagiarism if you fail to cite works in assignments from sources such as journal articles. I would find it hard to comprehend university markers scouring the internet to find if you plagiarised on a written exam. Good to see there's another Toon Supporter...
