i hate english. 90% of people hate english. if the HSC course was better, maybe i'd give it a chance. but honestly, it's not. you think authors wanted their texts to be analysed psychoanalytically? nooooooo. they just wanted to make some moolah.

OP, 15 units or more isn't a good idea unless you're a genius. i did 15 myself in yr 11,and 13 in yr 12, but i knew all along which subjects weren't going to count. my personal view is that you're better off sticking to 12 units of high scaling subs or subs that you really really like.

i think OP should know though, that it HELPS to do high scaling subjects, unless you're confident of gunning the so called lower-scaling subjects

OP, go to the dictionary and look up these two words 'investment' and 'banking' or alternatively, something like management consulting or private equity. although you might want to do an honours year (HD average should be easy, yes?) while praying that the economy starts to recover.

DONT do 3u english for the scaling. do 4 u maths. of course it's possible to get 98+ without 4u maths, but it really, really helps. something like double scaling or something, which i only heard about after HSC.
