    Romes War OF Expansions!

I am doing it. I absolutely love it. My teacher is a HSC marker for it, and I was suprised that there is only 3-4 markers for it i.e. barely anyone does it. They do not know what they are missing out on. The questions are usually quite nice as well.

    Questions from trial paper

The first question is question 10 from the 2004 Independent trial. I don't want to type it up, so I'll attach the official solutions. It should explain it.

Section IV of the exam is ridiculous...

I know with the punic wars topic, 90% of the time one question is military related, and the other is social/economic related.

    Future Plans (UAI/Uni/Tafe/Job)

Re: What UAI&Course are you aiming for? It is a scholarship specific to UNSW. It basically gives you 5 points for anything other then medicine. It also gives you $4000. Each school nominates their most academic student. It doesn't matter what school it is, or how smart/dumb it is, each school...

    Future Plans (UAI/Uni/Tafe/Job)

Re: What UAI&Course are you aiming for? Yes, at UNSW there is is a maximum of 5 from each scheme. However when added together, the maximum is 10, between the academic achivement award, HSC plus and EAS. I have no idea for USYD though.

Anyone got the 01 and 05 Independent papers?

Just remember that the syllabus was amended in october 2002, so some of the questions might be not relevant. My teachers reccomend me not do ones pre-2003. I have a large cache of 2u, 3u, physics and chemistry papers that I would like to upload, however my slow internet restricts me.

Is anyone else doing the Smithsonian Website?

I am doing the 'online exhbition'. I can not offer any help though, as it is a quite weird option.

Although not an essay, question 3 from the 2007 and 2008 ancient history papers are remarkably similar.

long response q for 2009 HSC

I am hoping and expecting something from 'stars evolve and eventually die'. However spctroscopy hasn't been a long response since 2004. What Kaz1 said hasn't been tested since 2002, so its another possibility.

    Ancient History People

Out of the three options, don't you have to study two or more areas? i.e. not three from egypt.

    Help for projectile please!!

The velocity of the projectile is often not constant, therefore each value of t leads to different velocities. If you want the initial velocity, you sub in t=0, if you want the velocity 5 seconds after launch, you sub in t=5 etc. The value of t used depends on when the velocity you are after occurs.
