Who thinks the HSC is unfair?

The HSC is a little bit unfair. A lot of the courses seem (and probably are) very boring; modifying the content of courses to make them more interesting would make the HSC fairer. Students would be more interested and hence more motivated to do well. I would say scaling is definitely unfair - I...

    Can I get into TAFE?

Please read posts properly before replying. I said veterinary nursing, which is quite distinct from human nursing. Veterinary nurses are trained through TAFE and nurses who treat homo sapiens are trained though universities.

    Should I do Mathematics?

Tommy, what do you think would be more boring: Studies of Religion II or Mathematics?

    Should I do Mathematics?

Excuse me, you're wrong. Hospitality does count towards my ATAR, if I choose to sit for the option external HSC exam, which I will. Tommy, if two subjects are in "the same line" it means that the classes are run at the same time. I can't do both Mathematics Extension or English Extension and...

How does your maths teacher teach maths?

How does your mathematics teacher teach the subject? In the old-fashioned way that most teachers seem to use: "here are some worked solutions, now do fifty similar contrived questions from the textbook"? I find that I enjoy mathematics more when I solve a problem that I created myself than...

    Should I do Mathematics?

The foreskin has a purpose but. It is the most sensitive part of the penis and provides a gliding motion, meaning that as a rule intact males experience more heightened sensation during intercourse. It also stops tiny objects, say, bits of fluff from a towel, entering the urethra. Anyway, MX1...

Which career path would you like to pursue in the future?

I hate the word career. It just sounds so unnatural to me. But what I would like to do is health science, either physiotherapy, occupational therapy or nursing. When I'm in Year 12 I might put medicine down in my preferences to, just to see if I get in, because I wouldn't mind being a GP either.

    Should I do Mathematics?

I'm going to ring my school tomorrow and tell the principal/have my mum tell her that I will do Mathematics and Studies of Religion I, not 2 units of religion. Studies of Religion II would be interesting, and doing it meant that I had more free periods. But maths has more practical uses than...

which one? economics, legal studies, society n culture or community n family studies

Re: which one? economics, legal studies, society n culture or community n family studie I'm not sure whether or not to do maths. I don't have a passion for it, but I enjoy it sometimes. Do you think I should do it? To the OP: Of the subjects you listed (Economics, Legal, SAC and CAFS), I...

Implications of being the only student doing a certain subject

I understand - I don't expect to receive any raw marks. Now I know what I'm in for. I got a B in School Certificate Italian. I'll just do my best to try to maintain good marks.

Okay. I got my hopes up after reading what Shadowdude said!

What's the minimum aggregate required to get 99.95 ATAR?

I have put the same marks into SAM and UMAX for the same subjects and the UAI I got from each was the same, more than once.

Implications of being the only student doing a certain subject

Yes. Hopefully if I take Italian in Year 12, I'll do well.

Implications of being the only student doing a certain subject

That's a shame. That means that if I do poorly in the exam, I do poorly overall.

Implications of being the only student doing a certain subject

Hello all, I plan to study Italian Continuers next year. I am the only student in my school who has chosen it and I will be in a mixed class with 7 Italian Beginners students. If I keep Italian for year 12, as I would be the only student in my year doing it, would I definitely receive my...

    General maths.

That's an unfair assumption to make. A person could struggle with General Mathematics but ace all their other subjects and be fluent in three languages. You don't have to be good at maths to be intelligent. But you probably already know that... I think that your example illustrates my point.
