aah alright, so my maths teacher was wrong then :P She used the SC scaling as an example for some reason, when we were doing Standard Deviation...

Wouldn't say the raw mark would be 40/50...the scaling goes up and down each year, depends how people did on the test. Remember they are aiming for a nice curve in the results (where the majority get average marks, and the number of people gradually decreasing as you go up and down the graph...

I think they meant Band 6...maybe...btw only 12% of people in our year at my school got and A in English (for report) and only 8% in science.

So now that the SC is over, most people got back their marks, and school has nearly finished (for those who are still going LOL), what do you guys plan to do these holidays? Anyone going away? Anyone Studying? Personally, I've began studying Maths (Calculus specifically) and Physics some weeks...

No.Way O_O from memory the test wasn't THAT easy. If they had that kind of attitude for the selective schools test, I imagine they would be pissing themselves with the SC XD

The class of 2013 will certainly have some great marks and a lot of competition...judging by the SC results (considering many of us didn't study)... I was like 12th on the reserve list for Caringbah High XD. That's the only school I tried out for because my mum made me. It was only about 3 years...

me? They are not that amazing that they need photo proof but my marks are: History-85 Maths-87 Geography-91 Computer:- 91 Science:-94 English:-94 ...overall, lower than I wanted but higher than I deserved.

I thought that the marks were not raw...a mark in the high 90's could have aligned to 100 in some subjects.
