ok...that was not expected. I don't want to argue, but why did you choose assume I mean ALL Asians are high achievers? Of course they are not all like that, but admit it, more Asians get top marks and go to selective schools than people of other races. I go to a school ranked in the 200's where...

It's for those of us who are not Asian who need the secret most of all! Tell me, how do you guys stay so focused on your studies?? But heh, who am I kidding... most whites like me will never catch up to the stellar marks of Asians. Soo jealous of their amazing self discipline!!

XD has been the bane of my existence for the past year...ok, maybe that was a hyperbole but I just found so much different stuff in the 5.3 course and there was so much to remember! The only B in my report -_- Yr 11 stuff is much more interesting, especially with the calculus. Finally I realize...

Just realized how funny it is: before the SC no-one cared about it. Now that the marks are back people (and I am also guilty of this XD) are complaining about how they should have done better, despite still getting band 5's and 6's with little (if any) study.

I don't entirely agree. Seeing a word within a given context allows its meaning to be better remembered. Also, reading (to quote my English teacher) "cultivates the mind and nourishes the soul". Not saying that you need to read like 10 books a day, but a little reading here and there during free...

My feelings exactly! Coming from a school ranked somewhere in the 200's, we have quite a few people who just don't want to learn and don't want to be helped with learning. They are coming back next year because they just don't have anywhere else to go. A little sad really :( but school is not...

Such good marks so far! Felt pretty hesitant to put mine up... English-94% Science-94% Geography-91% Computer Skills-91% Maths-87% History-85% (And I came 2nd in my yr and 1st in yr 8...very weird it turned out to be my lowest mark) Overall, they are alright, nothing to be ashamed of...
