You should be preparing for your exams before you even know the date on which you will sit them. Pay attention in class by writing notes, and when you are at home, go over them and make sure that you know everything. you learned on that day.

um, if you are too nervous to talk to her, then wait for her to need help in a class or with something and go help her out. You can make conversation from there.
