I am no expert but I think you are right, moderation is applied to the raw marks.

I think it's a little sad that only those who come 1st get a certificate. Surely all state rankers deserve a certificate for their efforts at least? I definitely won't get one but there are plenty of people on this forum who probably will.

As someone who got a Band 6 in Chem last year, my advice is to do a mixture of both.

I really just started reflecting over the paper I had just done. It wasn't until I left the hall that I went "Oh, wow, it's over."

I can't remember exactly. I think I may have used I = Prn (simple interest formula), then calculated total amount to be repaid (Principal + Interest) then divided that by n number of periods. That may be wrong, I'm not even 100% sure it is what I did on the day - can't remember :)

Honestly, it's a bit sad!! I liked school, and my Teachers, and my classmates.

I did this too, although I didn't go into a lot of detail about classes and contacts - my response was more about Myopia, its cause, how it affects vision and then how LASEK can be used to correct it and therefore improve vision and quality of life. I ended up getting an extra writing booklet...
