Q's. Changing Classes + Going to Tutorials?

I believe chinese actually does have tutorials the first week. I did chinese back in first year (3 years ago) and we did have tutorials the first week even though my other subjects didn't. But I'm not sure if they have changed that so I can't give a definitive answer. But you should definitely...

    argh help plz!

You are deferring your HECS. So you pay the uni fees back when you start working fulltime. Deferring uni is not doing uni for typically 1 semester or 1 year but you are still in your degree. This is not what they were mentioning :P

    Questions about assessment marks

When students are equally ranked 3rd, the average of all 3rd place student exam marks are used to obtain their HSC assessment mark. This means every 3rd place student will receive identical HSC assessment marks.

    Subjects contributing to UAI

The UAI is calculated using the aggregate of the scaled HSC marks. The Scaled HSC marks (not revealed to students) and the Aligned HSC marks (The marks you see) are the result of 2 independent and different procedures. As such, if the scaled HSC mark of subject A is higher than that of subject...

Is the online mark the scaled mark used in UAI or is it raw?

They do not use the marks you saw today. They use the RAW HSC marks which are not publically available for students to see. Aggregating refers to the sum of all scaled marks. This is how they come up with your UAI. The higher your aggregate, the better your UAI.

Is the online mark the scaled mark used in UAI or is it raw?

The HSC marks you saw today are not used in the calculation of the UAI. Here is a flowchart showing how your marks are used. http://www.boredofstudies.org/other/flowchart.pdf Basically it's your scaled HSC mark that is used. The scaled HSC mark is the result of scaling the RAW HSC mark. The...

How has your perception of your UAI changed this morning?

HSC Marks in the lower ranges less than 80 may tend to be a bit less accurate than those in the 90+. Reason for this is the lack of data we have when designing SAM. This however doesn't mean it's entirely inaccurate. In most cases you'd be surprised how close your SAM UAI is compared to your...

    PSYC2061 and PSYC2081

PSYC2061 last sem was as follows: Social first. Developmental second. In terms of assessments, it was relatively non stressful. It's just one assignment for the social part, and one assignment for the developmental part, both weighing 20% of the assessment total. So the final is worth 60%...

    UAI Prediction

I think you should get about the 73 mark. A misadventure wouldn't of really helped you if it was upheld because what happens is your assessment mark will become your exam marks, which also becomes your HSC mark. So if you didn't do well in school, it doesn't help.

    Hsc Marks

To get your HSC mark, it is simply the average of your HSC exam and your HSC assessment mark. The assessment mark is not the mark you get at school, it is the result of a moderation procedure used to ensure the marks are fair throughout the state. So if you add up all your school assessment...
