Something is really confusing me. I really want to get band 5's in most of my subjects, except english prolly high band 4.
Say for e.g. my school assessment mark is 75, do i have to nail the hsc exam in order 2 get the band 5, and how does the process work

To get your HSC mark, it is simply the average of your HSC exam and your HSC assessment mark.

The assessment mark is not the mark you get at school, it is the result of a moderation procedure used to ensure the marks are fair throughout the state. So if you add up all your school assessment marks that you achieved throughout the year, that is not the mark you are going to get at the end of the year.
