    Discovery trial papers!?!?

Due to the new syllabus, you will struggle to find any past papers on discovery. There are some Section I practice questions here. There are also a range of Section III practice questions here. There is also a full practice exam here. Hopefully these resources should suffice. I recommend finding...

    Trial Exam Papers?

You're not going to find any past examination papers for English because there is a new syllabus. You should be able to find most of what you want here though and in nerdasdasd's signature.

    Related text restrictions

If it's only an intertextual reference then I don't think it would be much of an issue.

    Daily Routine

You don't :P But in all honesty, it is not so much about overcoming fatigue, but more about managing a healthy lifestyle in order to prevent fatigue (i.e. regular breaks, allocating time for leisure and exercise, etc.)

Does the HSC ask you about Mathematical Induction?

No. I recommend you take a look at page 5 of the syllabus at the very least. http://www.boardofstudies.nsw.edu.au/syllabus_hsc/pdf_doc/maths23u_syl.pdf

    2015ers Chit-Chat Thread

Flying through topic 3 atm, but if I was as prepared as I wish I'd been, I would well and truly have started topic 4 by now. My school only just started topic 3 lol.

    Atar estimate

I haven't got most of my actual ranks yet so a few of these are just estimate ranks + cohort size is also approximate. School rank is top 100 Business Studies: 2/70 Economics: 5-10/45 English Advanced: 15-20/75 3U Maths: 15-20/65 4U Maths: 9/15 Most of my subjects are likely to...

    2015ers Chit-Chat Thread

Lol that's a really strong cohort. At my school 80% would probably be top 10-15 out of a cohort of roughly 75.

hey so i got a brand new asus transformer t100

Surely if it suddenly turns off then it has some sort of unintended fault with the hardware, especially considering Asus generally have decent build quality.

Why is the term Abo used specifically in North Coast town?

It correlates with the colloquial nature of the text and the setting. Additionally, it demonstrates that the town is peripheral to the modern developed world due to the lack of civility associated with the term. Also note that Robert Gray lived in Coffs Harbour for the first 25 years of his...

    can you read this?

Yeah I write worse than that a lot of the time and have yet to receive a complaint from any teacher regarding my messiness.

New Macbook (the thin/gold one with a 12" retina display)

Re: New Macbook Air (the thin/gold one with a 12" retina display) There are hundreds of devices that have better specs than a macbook air and with a much lower price point than $1k.

    Is this normal? [WARNING: RANT]

Don't let this bother you too much. I was in a similar position last term for my first assessment where I'd received 12/20 for a speech that I'd honestly deserved more for.

I'm not sure about my subjects???

Keep in mind that you will generally be able to change your subjects at any stage of the preliminary year, so I suggest you see how well you do in all your subjects instead of making an assumptive decision. Additionally, for you respective subjects, you could look at their HSC syllabi to better...
