Semester 1 USYD Chatter Thread 2013

They may tell you the wrong thing. ex user kokodamonkey was notorious for doing this summer school is more expensive and you have to pay up-front but otherwise that's fine and won't impact your progression in any way.

Semester 1 USYD Chatter Thread 2013

but something like 40% of people meet their future long-term partner at uni so of course we want to look our best! And all that stuff is *super* necessary. I couldn't possibly wear closed in shoes normally so much bring a spare pair for labs, and all the textbooks have to be taken to every class...

those who wear heels and meet the cobblestone paths are the best. and they all think they're so subtle using the uni maps on their phone but they look hilarious walking 10 meters then stopping to check they're going in the right direction, then circling back around.

Semester 1 USYD Chatter Thread 2013

Go to uni for a single 8-9am class then play 'spot the first year' for a couple of hours, get hot chocolates with LHS and chat some more, go home before it gets cold. decent start

No. timetables aren't set until the end of second week or something like that. log on and change them now before it hits 10:30 and the system is taken offline.

Semester 1 USYD Chatter Thread 2013

No. Night classes maybe, but there aren't many of them and anything before 6 isn't considered a night class.

Semester 1 USYD Chatter Thread 2013

CHECK YOUR TIMETABLE. If it says the tute is on week 2-13, then no you do NOT have tutes tomorrow. If it says the tute is on wk 1-13, then yes it is.

Semester 1 USYD Chatter Thread 2013

starting tomorrow, I'm telling every first year I meet a different random fact about myself that will be completely false. LHS, you're going to be my wing person and agree that all the stupid stuff I say is legit, ok?

    What Makes The Best Hug?

when it turns into making out
  11. Blue Suede

    USYD access card worth it?

present your card at the access desk and you'll still get a goodie bag. and blahblahblaahhhh you should think about getting a mymulti ticket which does buses and trains and works out cheaper, esp if you go to uni 5 days a week
  12. Blue Suede

    What have you eaten today?

metabolism is what I've been told by ~doctors~ I also exercise a fair bit (I walk basically everywhere but do nothing for my arms/core) In 20 years when my metabolism goes and I think I don't have time to work out and stuff I'll probably end up fat

Semester 1 USYD Chatter Thread 2013

hey Britt, I've been looking at my timetable and I don't have to go to 8am maths in the first week because there are no tutes so I can get to the 11ams. Join me there instead?

What was your favorite job and why?

favourite job has been working for the student union at uni because it's fun, i get to talk to people all day, it makes good use of my skills while giving me new ones, I like the people (all fellow uni students), the hours are great with my timetable, and pay is better than retail.

How do a bring a sem 2 unit of study into sem 1?

as Unco said, a lot of subjects are only offered in one semester so you have to do it then, no choice. And if firefox doesn't work for you either, safari or internet explorer are sure bets.
