    I finally drove a V8...

I haveto admit that latest UK Top Gear episode reignited my interest in Aussie muscle cars.

Texting & driving, road safety vid for u

It's a good advertisement. I haveto admit it did make me think twice about SMS'ing especially considering I have a QWERTY phone... all we need is someone to invite a decent voice recognition/dictation SMSing capability into mobile phones... and we're set!

UTS Business V UNSW Commerce (for a cadetship)

Fair enough point. But from memory most firms are giving you a whole day off work anyway to attend uni so it really shouldn't be that much of a difference. The other thing you gotta remember is that once you finish your uni degree, you get to do CA which is even more 'challenging'... bludging...

UTS Business V UNSW Commerce (for a cadetship)

There are a LOT of posts related to the UNSW vs. UTS debate for cadets in the cadetship thread and other places on BoS. Although in all fairness, the threads fo rcadetships become long winded and full of pointless bantering/high-fiving each other that it's no wonder people don't get much value...

UTS Business V UNSW Commerce (for a cadetship)

I think the animated GIF you may be looking for is... ps. To TC, I picked UNSW.

How often do you wash your car???

I usually take my Evo to get it hand washed at least once a week (got it hand waxed with McGuiars at Hanna's car wash cafe on Saturday). My Civic however gets hand washed maybe once a fortnight... I don't mind having a dirty Civic though since it's daily driver.

    red P off during parking?

Ditto. Such a pain esp since you need to go find another one to replace the one which was nicked and they only come in packs of two.

    Which car should i get?

I'd say the e46 325Ci is the pick of the lot- I have an e46 330Ci and it's beautiful and quite a lot of mods are available if you choose to go down that route. It has class and is in a different league to the rest. If you want something in better condition (i.e. newer), then the RX-8 is my other...

    Accounting Cadetships 2009

Emphasis on this. You need to be eligible to undertake the CA program when you graduate from uni and this will require you to have completed certain subjects in uni (typically an Accounting major and a few others such as Business Law, taxation, basic finance, etc...) The uni which is the...

    Cadetships 2008/09

It is possible to get an academic scholarship (i.e. high UAI) or a special scholarship (the ones which reward certain activities/involvement/participation/characteristics, etc.. as long as it's not an industrial training/work placement) plus a cadetship but I don't think you're supposed to...

    Cadetships 2008/09

The gist of the above is that a cadetship and a scholarship are two very very different things but unfortunately most people are misinformed and think of them as being pretty much the same. Both are appealing for different reasons and to different people. A scholarship is a grant paid to you...

    Accounting Cadetships

According to trusty BRW; in Australia, according to Budgeted Fees for 04-05, PKF was on 108.5m with 110 partners (Rev per partner of 986,364) and BDO was 102.0m with 95 partners (Rev per partner of 1,073,684); so that leaves PKF ahead slightly. Not taking into account Investor Group as...

    accounintg firms- cadetships

Don't some firms also have 'group partners' as well? There are so many different titles it's hard to compare directly between firms. What you said is right Meads, it doesn't seem possible that they earn that much... but when you consider the amount of revenue on a per-partner basis; it does...

    Most respected business degree

Also must take into account that B Business is still recognized as an acceptable pre-req to post-graduate studies like CA and CPA; which make things alot easier later on. After all, once you have post-grad qualifications in the industry, noone really cares about your degree. IIRC the UTS B...
