I think that the calculus in the Mathematics course is more difficult than you make it sound. You have to sketch graphs, too. When I looked at the textbook (Maths in Focus 2nd Edition, Preliminary course) - the "Introduction to Calculus" chapter did more than just ask you to memorise formulae...

At least maths boosted your ATAR. Hopefully it boosts mine too, even though I'm only doing Mathematics (Advanced). I'm looking forward to learning calculus techniques.

Why would you do English 3 Unit if you hate English?

Are there syllabus dot points for mathematics? Why would it be a bad idea to use them?

I would like to study Science Fiction. What made it so unbearable - do you dislike the genre? So you only had ten units for your HSC. Do you intend to study more maths in the future, or are you never going back there?

How do you get UMAT past papers when ACER doesn't release them?

No they do not teach you how to think. No one can help you if you do not know how to think at you age.

It's a harder course, that's why. (Not) Do English (Advanced), because it includes the study of Shakespeare.

ACER doesn't recommend UMAT preparation courses. Also, the "UMAT-style questions" could be fake.

I don't know "so much". I presume you're being sarcastic. Are you? People on BoS who have done Phys and Chem report that they weren't too difficult. It depends on the individual however.

Physics and Chem aren't as difficult as the awesome scaling implies.
