    Related text help

You would be using Romulus, My Father for Belonging. Sorry, I can't offer advice in terms of which related texts would be best for used, as it didn't do Romulus. However, I would recommend using original related texts, which your peers may not have seen before. I would recommend using older...

    Redox Reactions

Like QZP said above, oxidation is the loss of electrons and reduction is the gain of electrons. A good way of remembering this is OIL RIG (Oxidation Is Loss; Reduction Is Gain). However, another way of looking it is comparing oxidation state. The oxidation state is the charge of a species (ion...

    How do I ace English?

No matter how poor your 'English skills' may seem, you can always improve. I would recommend preparing your essays/creatives beforehand, and spend a lot of time working on and editing them. Make sure you get lots of feedback from teachers/tutors/peers, so you can constantly improve your work...

Will bad handwriting be a problem in university?

Haha I wonder how doctors, who are notorious for their handwriting, get through uni. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do you need to have more than one science other than Chemistry to get into Medicine?

Exactly this. Chemistry is only recommended, but not required. Entry into Medicine is very competitive, so just everything you can to maximise your ATAR. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Continue walking 1 hr/day during HSC year?

Exercise is always good, so continue doing it. Not only does it maintain balance in your life, but also keeps your blood pumping so you can think properly. I found that during stuvac I almost went crazy, because I was just sitting at home studying (something I completely regret). Spending 1 hr...

    Half Yearlies

For my half-yearlies, the Science subjects (Chemistry and Physics) were on the first 2 modules. We only did Mod A and B for English (yea, my school was pretty slow). Every school does Maths in a different order, so I don't know about that, but I think we were progressing at a good rate.

Will you be penalised if you prove it as RHS = LHS

Yes, you work from either LHS to RHS or RHS to LHS. A general tip is to work from the more 'complex' or longer side to the 'simpler' side.

    Creative Writing help

My creative writing was also a nightmare throughout both primary and high school, but I started early and allowed myself to develop my ideas properly. Don't be afraid to write multiple drafts, just allow yourself to express your ideas freely. Then give it to your teacher/tutor/peers for their...

    Students abandoning 2u maths

Doesn't 2U Maths scale significantly higher than General Maths?
  13. S

    Maths (2unit)

15% is nothing. Keep doing your homework, and do as many past papers as you can. You have to do Maths consistently, because you don't get better at it overnight. Btw, if you're worried that a comeback isn't possible, I did very poorly in my 1st MX2 Assessment (worth 20%), but ended up getting...

    General vs 2u

Doing 2U Maths is definitely worth the effort. Not only does it scale heaps better, but if you're doing a subject that you feel doesn't push you (i.e. General), you're not going to put in that extra effort to succeed, which will undoubtedly lead to a worse than expected result.

    Do i need English Advance?

Stick with Advanced, just do everything you can to improve your essays/creative. Constantly work on improving them, and give them to teachers/tutors/peers for criticism.

Where can we add to the raw marks database?

    How to succeed in economics?

Be consistent with your news and syllabus work/revision, and really develop a passion for the subject. Also it's a good idea to regularly do some practice essays.
