    I cant seem to get this question down and i'm not really sure why ><" tried it for like 30 minutes and I couldn't get it would someone be able to post up a solution? The polynomial equation x^5 - ax^2 + b = 0 has a multiple root. Show that 108a^5 = 3125b^3

    By that logic... If I really wanted to get a state ranking, I wouldn't shouldn't really goto James Ruse or anything... say theoretically i come 5th at Ruse but I get 100% in the external exams... I might not come first in the state... but then if i went to some crappy school in some crap hole...

    What am I allowed to do in a deduce question?

    (1+sin pi/5 + icos pi/5)^5 + i(1 + sin pi/5 - i cos pi/5) = 0 (sin pi/5 + icos pi/5)^5 + i = 0 (cos(pi/2-pi/5) + isin(pi/2-pi/5))^5 + i then just de moivres and im done?
