99+ ATAR without 4 unit maths? (1 Viewer)

I was wondering how many people who got 99+ ATAR actually did 4 unit maths in their HSC.

Is it easier to get an ATAR of 99+ by doing and performing well in 4 unit maths?
Does 4-unit maths give you an advantage in achieving 99+?

Dunno how many people reading this forum have received a UAI already....

But it's theoretically possible to achieve a 99 ATAR with any combination of subjects. It is made easier by doing 4U if you enjoy it, and id you do relatively well in Maths.

You can definitly get a 99+ ATAR/UAI without 4U maths.

I did 4U maths, and got 87 i think, which did better scaling wise than my 90 in 2U maths and ultimately helped my uai (i think).

However, my sister only did 2U maths and got a higher uai than me (99.75). (she did ancient history, modern history, english adv, latin, latin ext, history ext). A friend of mine got the exact same uai as me (99.6) with no maths.

You can get 99+ with any combination of subjects- you just have to do well in them.

Oh for ^ the ATAR's highest mark is 99.95 not 95...

I know several guys who have done 12 units and the dropped ones have been 4U maths and they got 99+, but, they did 4U english!

Friends sister got 99.95 UAI with ESL English and 3u Math xP.
