If you are coming first internally, than you will get the mark that you get in your externals for your school assessment mark as well as your external exam mark. As long as you are coming first you can get 100% in externals, which would translate into an assessment mark of 100%.

Just aim for 100% in everything. There is no reason why anyone above you can't screw up and do what just happened to you. If anything it gives you an increased drive and determination to succeed because you have something to aim for, instead of being complacent at the top. :D

Previous people from my school: 1 guy got 99.90 with 4 unit english, 2 unit maths, other mediocre subjects. 2 guys got 99.95 with no sciences whatsoever another guy also got 99.85 with drama, and very little maths or science. the last guy graduated about two years ago with a 99.90 with no maths...

What are you talking about?!?!? you just admitted that he could get 98.5. It's not false by any means for the OP to be able to achieve a high ATAR because of his subjects. It is just more difficult, that if you read the full post you would have gathered. Because it IS possible to get ANY ATAR...

You can get any ATAR with any subject combination!!! It is just more difficult with certain subjects. Your subjects are not super high scaling, but if you do well all of them, there is no reason you can't get 98+.
