How can that even be the case...?

New to BOS. Need intro's of fellow members :)

You aren't meant to be 'doing' and 'coping' with 16 units. Results don't mean much in year 11, your study habits is what will help in year 12. I began with 15 in year 11 and kept them for a while before dropping the ones I didn't want to keep.

Friend issues. Am I overreacting? Tell me I'm overreacting and it'll be okay.

I was kind of insisting that the OP's friend is most likely like that, and by approaching them you'd end up in an argument rather than a deep discussion between two human beings and long-term friends, which could potentially heal wounds and strengthen the relationship. In a realistic approach...

Friend issues. Am I overreacting? Tell me I'm overreacting and it'll be okay.

Unfortunately the majority of the world today is made up of oversensitive 'pussies' . People are very sensitive especially to straigthforward truth, and the simplest things are taken as 'offensive'.

Do you tell people your test results?

I do that in my head, but only on the top5 of the subjects I like.

Do you tell people your test results?

I wish I could, but I can't help but resent people for choosing to go with what I listed. (i.e. lying). I know the reasons for why you wouldn't tell your marks, but I don't get why people don't. I also hate those people: "Look I did so much work for this subject and this, yeah really happy with...

Do you tell people your test results?

You're a "bad" person if: 1. You claim you get better marks than you actually do 2. You claim you get worse marks than you actually do 3. You don't tell anyone 4. When the teacher asks if you want your mark called out and you say 'no' 5. You don't specify and only give a range which will most...

Does my cohort affect me if I am ranking first/second?

REALLY. If you could explain how it works that would be great, because there are so many varied opinions and theories it's not funny.

Does my cohort affect me if I am ranking first/second?

That's what I always thought. Turns out I was wrong.

    a) Are you being at least remotely serious? b) What is causing those thoughts?

    Year 11 2014 Chat :)

Making notes on every single thing is pointless. Focus more on essays and/or exam type questions.

Does my cohort affect me if I am ranking first/second?

Your actual score does not matter. Your ranking does. If you rank first you receive the highest HSC mark from your cohort as your assessment mark (50% of your HSC) and your HSC mark is your own score (50% of your HSC). If you come 2nd, and say you're an outlier with a 96 in the HSC when the 2nd...

100 UAI, no tuition, did an Arts degree - AMA

Similar to you, I've been in my very first relationship since the start of year 12. And although we're only a school term and a half in, I can sympathise with what you say here.

What a coincidence, I was just watching this TED talk. I also answered your survey. Good luck with your project ~

What were your other interests during highschool, apart from TF2? That leads me to the second question - what lead you into a Media/Communications degree?
