Hey, I was wondering if someone doing Optometry could tell me how important Physics, as assumed knowledge, is in it? I'm interested in taking Optometry, however, I don't think I can fit Physics in my units for the HSC. Any info on this would be really appreciated!

OP's choices already include Chemistry, Physics, and Advanced English, and might do MX1, so how's discussing this relevant? If you like Maths then yes, try MX1. Does your school ask you to do SOR in Year 12?

I've just heard that you need to be really self-motivated with any distance education? Plus I guess it depends on your teacher. They can't be completely bad, in 2011 they had quite a few state rankers.

If you're interested in languages I'm pretty sure Open High School sometimes also does acceleration.

Thanks for the input! I'm not bad in Chemistry and I don't dislike it, it's just that the Stage 6 content seems a bit more daunting than with other subjects, from what I've seen of the syllabuses. Guess I still need to think over this in the time I've got.
