I'd start with chapter reviews first, because they cover everything from the chapter, unlike past papers, which might not. While doing the chapter reviews, write down any formulas you've forgotten. Memorise them, then hit past papers.

I totally agree that having creative writing in exams is a pain, though. I've never had one for school before, but my result in the Year 7 NAPLAN writing (I remember it being a creative that year) gives me a general idea... It's a shame, like I said I really like creative writing personally...

While I personally like creative writing, I agree that it can be a pain to do in English. At the moment I have an assignment to write a short story on betrayal, and everything I can think of sounds so cheesy! Not looking forward to writing about belonging in Year 12. ><

Thanks. :) Yup, I had 13 errors. Good job on your results as well! My errors were in reading (questions 29, 31, 34, 52, 55, 58), Numeracy (questions C59, NC29, NC17, C42), and writing (criteria 10-6, 5-5, 3-5). I got full marks in language conventions.

Counted up the errors - I got 209. I think the only time I got a HD in the ICAS comps was for Maths in Year 4 or something...can't really remember. Definitely haven't received one through high school. xD

Don't know if this will help but my school did the chemical reactions topic in Year 9 so to give you an example, our practical exam involved going around to different stations, mixing solutions on a plastic sheet and figuring out whether it was a precipitation reaction.

Definitely, I find printing makes my writing easier to read, too. I also used to have terrible writing, but it became 10x neater after I started writing it slanted - felt more comfortable for me, too. Loosening my grip (try practising with a fountain pen or brush pen or something) also helped...

You might find Maths more interesting in Years 11 & 12? I hated Years 7-10 Maths but I'm really liking it now. But you shouldn't just rely on that. Maybe try doing more mixed questions (chapter reviews, mixed reviews, past papers, etc.) because they contain a variety of questions so you might...
