I received an ATAR of 94.xx and I am also eligible for EAS/broadway. Since commerce was 95 last year, how possible is it to be accepted?

Just out of interest, what are your texts? I had three paragraphs for my one text. Each focussed on a specific aspect of the discovery. The first was the lead up- I discussed the perception, values, biases etc. etc. of each character. Then I discussed the discovery in relation to the lead up...

It really depends on the module/related texts. I never prepared for each individual concept, rather I just slightly modified the generic paragraph to fit similar concepts. For instance, you could always prepare a generic paragraph to fit the topics of 're-discovery' and 'discovering something...

I used the same generic essay for both English Advanced and Extension and received ban 6s for each. It can be done. For discovery I picked texts/poems which were large and vague, since I could mould a generic paragraph to fit any type of discovery (ie. emphasise the key words of the syllabus)...

lol Firms offering cadetships almost always recommend UTS because of timetabling. And I'd pick the CBD over a suburban shopping mall :P

They're both virtually the same in terms of teaching quality, prestige etc. UTS probably has a slighter advantage in that it is located in the CBD, implying you'll have greater networking opportunities/industry connections. I'd go with whichever campus you prefer.

Does this apply to the highest preference or the highest eligible preference. For instance: 1. Comm (lib studies) -98 atar in 2015 2. Comm - 95 atar I received an ATAR of 95.15. Assuming I preference lib studies over commerce and I miss out, will I still be considered for eas for commerce...

I am commencing a B commerce at USYD in 2016. I received an atar of 95 excluding eas. Would it be possible to transfer into combined law with this atar? I've heard that you need 97+, however.

If you have the ATAR for business (which is 90, if I remember correctly), you shouldn't be worried about it affecting your chances of internal transfer. Even if you got in on bonus points (like an atar of around 80), this shouldn't be a problem.

Hi all. I've been offered a cadetship at a small-ish firm (around 20 employees) in Strathfield. I intend to commence a B Commerce at USYD or UNSW next year. Would accepting a cadetship at a smaller firm put me at a disadvantage with regards to finding employment with a Big 4 after graduation...

30mins extra a day can add up. The question is whether UNSW is so superior to warrant that time.
