    Poker Club

They use to meet 2nd floor of squarehouse. It was pretty shifty though, bunch of Armenians that are pretty serious gamblers, all they'd talk about during the poker was how much they'd lost/won on roulette, blackjack, horses, greyhounds, online poker etc...

What Excercise Did You Do Today?

2 warm up sets + 3x5 military press 2 warm up sets + 3x5 back squats 2 warm up sets + 3x5 bent rows 3x10 weighted dips 3x10 calf raises. I'm thinking of giving this a go with a few variations, probably on a ABA / BAB cycle:

Reps for links to pharmaceutical companies & institutes that offer internships

As title states, can be local or international.

    Medicinal chemistry

Wow just noticed now this course ended up with almost a 91UAI cut-off! UAC International Course Description

    Chem1011

It's still possible to do well, but there will be a lot of people cruising through it as they did HSC chem, whilst you will need to really need to study hard to stay on top of it all. CHEM1011 basically does the entire HSC course in 6 weeks and then you do some thermo-chem and organic chem.

I did med sci, specializing in pharmacology. I'm doing honours atm, contemplating whether I want to go down a career of research or do post grad medicine. I'd prefer to be making money and move out of home in the near future though.

Sounds like you got it pretty sorted; I thought about safety science for a bit with the idea of moving into the work force as a QC / QA officer, as those are always being advertised for on job sites. So are you still at UNSW at the moment?

    Arrghh my shoulder...

The weights not the issue, I usually do pullups with palms facing away & arms about shoulder width apart. Then I read somewhere that to really isolate the lats use a wider grip, so I did and after a few reps my left shoulder felt really loose and clunky. So I did a bit of research and apparently...

    Arrghh my shoulder...

Wide grip pullups were a terrible idea.

    lagging bench

You could throw in some sets of closed grip bench to make sure it isn't your triceps that are lagging, I'd also revise your form (even if just through some youtube vids). I'm not really a fan of doing super sets or drop sets to increase strength, as other posters have said, bring your rep...

The majority of my notes and assignments from B. Medical Science

I've uploaded this largely at the request from a couple of BOSers who keep pming me about it. I was going to spend the time to make a 'read me first' / 'index', however I just haven't had the time. I know for a fact there are a bunch of typos in many of the notes that I only came across whilst...

    O-Week Is a Rort

Upper campus was pretty chill besides the occasional groups being guided around campus and the 2km line at FM assist.

    Grade Point Average?

Don't know, don't care for medicine (don't want to spend my life pretending I give a crap about peoples problems). However you can get the minimal GPA to be considered off the GAMSAT website: GAMSAT - How to calculate your GPA Seems that a 5.0 is pretty universal I think anything over 6.0...

    2 fitness/diet related problems.

If you need to have fruit and juice to get rid of it, could honestly be diabetes. The routine you're doing is basically cardio, if your aim is just to be really slim then keep at it, but don't expect to build muscle. 24 hours should be enough to recover from it.

    Grade Point Average?

6.45 up in here (med sci UNSW)

    stronglifts 5x5 or rippetoes SS?

Either really, just choose one and start doing it to the letter. I'd lean towards rippetoes if you are completely new to lifting, stronglifts 5x5 if you have been lifting for at least 6months - 1 year.

6 months gym.. wat can be achieved?

If I had the money to buy $30 of milk a week I'd do a couple of moths of GOMAD. Just having to eat as much as I can with whatever is at home atm.

    Difference between CHEM1031 and CHEM1011?

This could very well be the case, the courses aren't even named the same as when I did them 3 years ago, they use to be fundamental & advanced chem. Now it's 'essential of chemistry'
