How long does it take you to get to uni?

    Living on campus FTW!

    Results Withheld

Go and talk to them - yes, it was stupid of you to do what you did, but that doesn't mean the uni can't fix it up. General rule of university administration - if you can get someone adequately high up to sign a piece of paper, just about anything can be changed. They'll have special...

    Is it worth it?

You'll have to talk with the UNSW/UTS administration and see what weighting they'll put on it. Given you have a Diploma already I'm not sure if it would significantly improve your selection rank. Talk with the universities and see what they recommend - they can tell you all about the mature age...

    Assumed knowledge in courses

If the assumed knowledge is 2U (check with them), then I'd recommend the bridging course. 2U and General are *completely* different.

    Raw Marks Information

I know, but I don't have time to fix it at the moment. :/ In the meantime, Google and 'site:community.boredofstudies.org' are your friend!

transfer second year into Law at ANU

Transferring into Law is very competitive. Uni results have much more weight than ATARs, but I'd say you'll want to bump up your GPA a bit before applying.

Cheapest Undergrad Fully Catered Accommodation for ANU

URSIES :D Bruce is larger, and it does have bigger facilities. Their dining room is awesome, I must admit. On the other hand, Ursies is smaller and physically more compact - everyone in the Main Wing is in one building. IMO the community is a bit closer and friendlier - though I am biased :p

    ANU Accommodation

Expensive, poor services, lack of community, etc etc.

    Mid Semester Breaks?

You do however have to keep paying rent...

    ATAR for PhB @ ANU

I can also confirm (people I know) that the ATAR requirement is NOT strict - they will admit people who come slightly under the cutoff; it's all considered on a case-by-case basis.

    ANU Chatter Thread

ANU 2011 Semester 2 Chatter Thread Yep, it's late in semester, but it's in time for exams! (This is clearly a far more awesome place to complain about exams than StalkerSpace, right?)

3 years degree is shortened to 2 years degree

I don't particularly see why you'd want to shorten it to two years - you'd burn out, and besides, you won't have nearly enough time to actually enjoy the uni experience. I'm at the end of my second year now and I'm just starting to really get into it - my degree program is 4 years and I honestly...

    Bachelor of Information Technology

There's quite a lot of opportunities in IT. There's a few other IT-related degrees out there like Computer Science and Software Engineering that have different program requirements which might suit you better or worse depending on what you want to go in to and what your interests are.

Confused which college to choose for ANU?

Don't know if there are any in particular. Ursies has a decent number but I'm not sure how it compares to Bruce. No idea about self-catered places.

Should I change my application to B&G?

And the fees are going up by about $20 a week next year. If you can cook and you don't particularly need to be in a catered college then B&G could very well be your best option.

    Best university for politics/law

Just being facetious :) Hmm? Pretty sure every major uni has postgrad politics...

    Cutoffs for these subjects?

As cem said, the cutoffs change every year - although, we do have some information about certain raw marks for certain years. Unfortunately I can't give you links because our search system is broken :/

    What's the workload at uni?

Yep, weekly assignments are fairly common in Science.

"Can I get a decent ATAR with these subjects?"

Re: Can I get a decent ATAR with these subjects They aren't *quite* the same - because 99.95 != perfect aggregate - but they're closely related. Courses aren't 'capped' as such, in the sense that there isn't a committee which arbitrarily decides that the maximum scaled mark will be under 50 -...
