    commerce popular?

The degree is popular because it enables people to study a variety of fields. Instead of there being numerous degrees for each specialisation (e.g. accounting, marketing etc) they all come together under one banner. I've also met a few people doing commerce because they wanted to go to uni but...

    year6 maths?

When I was in year 6 maths was all about long division and multiplication, fractions etc. I doubt the syllabus would've changed much since then.

    laptops for commerce

As above. But i would add that a liberal estimate would be 5%.

    Your feelings towards internationals.

Unless you're on some sort of full scholarship then you'll be paying for uni. HECS is just a scheme that defers the payment for uni until you have the ability to pay (the government pays for you now and you pay them back later). It is by no means a free education.

    Double Degrees

You pay $900* in HECS for each subject you do. In double degrees you may have certain subjects overlap (i.e. you may be able to substitute subjects from degree A as electives for degree B etc). The fees listed by UAC are just a guide and the end cost of your course will depend on your situation...

    Double Degrees

I wouldn't say that they are harder to get into. You still have to qualify for the entry requirements for each degree. So to do Law/Arts you would need to get a UAI above the law cutoff.

what is your preferred method of getting the music that you want?

I like to buy the actual CD. It's something physical. I like to be able to look through the album booklet etc. Also there's generally no digital rights management this way.

    The Woolworths Thread

What Coles is this at? Because our CSM supposedly went to national conference and came back saying all registers must be counted by supervisors and that operators aren't allowed to spot balance. Fuck I'm sick of counting registers it's all i do now.

    Meeting New People

    It's called small talk.

    It's A Trap!

If you couldn't tell that she was a guy then I really think you should question your taste in women.

    Homosexuality in Australia

Anyone else notice the irony in iamsickofyear12's av? He's on here raging against homosexuality but his display pic is of a homosexual act. But it's alright because they are girls. lol.

A word of inspiration for 2U students who aren't doing so well

Using the wrong formula is not a silly mistake. It shows a lack of understanding of the concept involved.
  17. D

What are some good anniversary ideas?

Not much of a relationship if you don't know enough about him after 1 year to know what he likes.

Difference between finance and Accounting Major?

Cookie, while I haven't looked into it in too much detail (that will come) I'm under the impression that UOW will let you do both majors (even if you are doing a double) provided you are willing to spend longer at uni and pay more HECS, so long as you meet the requirements for both degrees. And...
