how hard do you think this years multiple choice will be?

hey, dont take words away LOL, i actually wrote almost 2050 in the trial HAHAHHA. :) if you know your stuff, you can write alot, but at the same time, you shouldn't be compromising quality for quantity. if you have both, then that's a bonus. :)

Raw mark required for a 95/96 in eco?

ummm i probably wouldn't recommend accounting, because it was my "let down" subject in the end, despite me thinking it was going to be my best! LOL. i dropped legal studies during year 12 because I asked the tafe i was doing accounting at to give me my hsc mark and when they told me I got 96, I...

Raw mark required for a 95/96 in eco?

i was ranked 1st/67 by a considerable margin (4% raw), I went to sydney tech!! haha :) potentially yes, if you do a repeat performance similar to your trial, you should get around that ! :D although it seems that your hsc raw mark is lower than your trial in a lot of cases, as i got 99/100...

    Creatives

With regards to the whole at least 800 words thing, this is for humanities subjects and the essay sections - e.g. Economics and Business Studies. You will find a notice at the top of the 2010 HSC papers for these 2 subjects which says something along the lines of "the expected length of this...

what do you think your worst and best subject in the HSC will be?

You'll find it interesting that what you think is your best, won't necessarily end up being your best ! I thought accounting was going to clearly be my best, and it turned out my worst LOL! Just don't slack off on anything or give up! :)

    Frankenstein/ Bladerunner

hey! to get you starter, you should be looking at concepts such as science versus nature, man playing god and humanity (identity). I am selling my Frankenstein & Blade Runner essays, which I scored 20/20 for throughout Year 12 in 2010, as well as my ACTUAL HSC EXAM ESSAY which I received by...

    Unemployment rate question?

Not a problem!! Just think about it this way - if you're trying to see how it changed, you should be comparing back to what it started with, i.e. the previous year! :)

    Economics in year 12

Year 11 only crosses over with Year 12 a little bit - just the core concepts are useful so that you don't feel completely lost when addressing more complex concepts in Year 12! I'm selling my Economics notes among my other subjects too...

    Unemployment rate question?

Okay, so the reason why you've gotten the wrong answer is because the denominator you have used in the question is incorrect. Whenever you do a rate of change type question, think back to your formulas for things like economic growth and inflation. It's always current year - previous year...

    MC question.

    okay, so basically in a two-sector economy, income = consumption + investment, i.e. Y = C + I. it's basically a shortened version of the five-sector economy model of Y = C + I + G + (X-M), except in this case, there's no exports/imports (i.e. no trade) and no government expenditure. so what...

Business and economics thread - textbooks, discuss etc?

thanks alot! that's good, congratulations, it's good to go in with rank 1, but now you have to back it up in the hsc! my hsc performance seems a little "off" my trial performance, as I got 20/20, 39/40, 20/20, 20/20 in my trial exam! hahaha!

Business and economics thread - textbooks, discuss etc?

I used dixon and riley, but alot of what I wrote was personal analysis, i.e. stuff that you don't just get out of textbooks, my own personal perspective on the issues. thanks!!! :)
