    obesity

Fat tax. Since it costs society so much to support fat people. And yeah, hate news articles which praise things like fashion designers making clothes for plus size women, and bagging out airlines for charging fat people more for a ticket. Seems like media actually favours obesity.

    Macquarie University 'Merit Scholars Program'

Hey is this part of the monetary scholarship, or a completely different thing? Cos it seems weird to just do this stuff for anyone who gets over 98.5

    Body Fat

Yeah, inches seems to work, i got 15.2% But if you're a female putting measurements in centimetres and selecting male, it's completely inaccurate, comes out as 5.2% for me...

    HSC YEAR. advice? :)

Thissssss. Don't think year12 is simply a year to study. If you're looking to get scholarships and the alike, (cadetship applications start in may-june), then you need to have experiences/extra-curriculars to boost your resume.

Does Co-op scholarship people know our preferences

Try calling the school, because admin staff could be there. Otherwise you just need to try emailing, or maybe try facebook or something.

Are some of UNSW's cutoffs lower then published + UAC question?

From what i understand, and answering what i THINK you're asking, you will get an offer for whichever course is highest on your list that you qualify for with your atar. However, you can then apply for second round offers, which could be for: 1) If your atar cut-off is a bit too low to qualify...

    International students ATAR cutoff

Um no, the 'high cost' is the full standard university fee. Its just that for australian citizens, this educational fee is supplemented by the government, bar a small hecs contribution on our part.

    International students ATAR cutoff

At usyd, the cut-off for each course is 5 atar points lower than the mainstream cut-off for all international students. And non-international students can get 5 bonus atar points if they pay the full fee which international students are required to pay. Here: (It doesn't say explicitly say...

    HSC plus and AAA scholarship

Yeah, i agree with you. Getting a 99+ atar and JUST missing out on getting into law is completely unfair if you consider that someone at a very low ranked school can get an atar of ~95, achievable by simply getting mid band 5s with certain subjects, could get into law if the school deems them...

    HSC plus and AAA scholarship

No, if the ruse kid wanted to do law, then he's not eligible for subject bonus points and would miss out. Whereas with AAA, you could get into law with the bonus points, even if your atar was nowhere near as good as the ruse kid, simply because you go to a low ranked school where you are...

Can't get 90+ ATAR for general maths?

For general maths last year, the maximum scaled for someone who received an hsc mark of 100 was 45.3/50. In comparison, the maximum mark for maths was 50/50, and the top mark in general maths was equivalent to a mark of someone in the top 5% of the cohort in maths. I think that's what your...

    Scholarships for ASB

Please name said scholarships, because from my research, the only business scholarships which UNSW offers to high school leavers for things other than rural/indigenous/financial need are: - Malcom Chaikin Foundation, which is apparently near impossible to get. - Coop - Scientia & AAA & the one...

    Scholarships for ASB

UNSW has pretty much no business scholarships because they have the coop program instead.

Does Co-op scholarship people know our preferences

If they look at preferences to gauge interest, and OP has Med as his first choice then that shows that his passion does not lie in the field of engineering.... So yeah, I guess it is a bit of a gamble..

    ATAR Estimate Please

Okayyyyy I was meant to quit this silly site yesterday but because you go to my school I care about you, so I will offer my words of encouragement. Yes, your internal ranks are undeniably terrible, but you need to remember that your hsc exam is still worth 50%, and if you say you've been doing...

Does Co-op scholarship people know our preferences

Ohh, i see. Well the application asks you to put your preferences, so then they'd definitely know (unless you CHOSE to be dishonest, which was what i thought you might have been implying). And yeah, i think to an extent you're meant to show that you are very very passionate about engineering...

How much study should you do a day?

Re: Daily Study Routine/ Hours to Study? If you're anything like me, you'll make lots of resolutions to have study timetables etc, but end up doing next to nothing on a regular basis and cram before exams. The one thing you must make sure you do regularly is maths. Around 30 minutes a day. &...
