General Thoughts: English Advanced Paper 2 (Modules)

Not a very nice thing to say, Gabe! As for number of pages, I wrote 16, 16, 18. But I write small, so that's why it looks like I didn't get so much done.

    Business Exam Discussion

Business Studies: How did we go? What were the ups, downs, highlights and estimated marks of the business studies exam?

    HSC Papers- marks.

Over 80% i'm pretty sure. But changes every yr - I heard 2006 was hard, and you only needed 60s for an E4.

    "Pens down"

i'll hug the exam supervisor, go around the school with a cricket bat tormenting people.

Definately an E4. Anything over 70% is an E4. I'm pretty sure the person who sets the band cut-offs each yr for 4u sets them quite low (usually in the 60%s). I think last yr's paper was fairly difficult though, cause I know a few guys who got E4s and they reckoned they got 71-75/120. But anyway...

1994: Full marks! Woohoo! First full marks I've gotten in a 4u paper (a bit late coming, but better now than never).

    Shortest HSC timetable

I know a girl who finishes with English Paper 2. She does: Business, Agriculture, Food Tech, IPT, English (standard).

    HSC Papers- marks.

Wow, some people have some pretty insane timing! 5mins for inegration and complex no's? I write far too slow for that. This is how I go about it: Q:1. 10 mins (sometimes a little under for the easy papers) Q:2. 15 mins Q:3. 15-20 mins (graphing can take a while) Q:4. 15 -20 mins (conics chews...

    HSC advice line 2009

What courses do they/have they offered assistance for? I heard there were 25-26 of them, but I cannot find out which ones. They wouldn't offer assitance for languages by any chance, would they?

    Probability Question

A probability question from the 2003 HSC Exam. I have found some differing solutions from from popular textbooks, and am not sure which one is correct: Q:4.(c) A hall has n doors. Suppose that n people choose any door at random to enter the hall. (i) In how many ways can this be done? (ii)...

    When is it a baby?

But I think you're missing the point... apes are not humans, a baby in the womb is. they don't call it human rights for nothing. so why should an ape of all things deserve these rights moreso than a child that is growing in the womb? and what makes you and all those other radical politicians...

    When is it a baby?

It seems to me like the 6 months time period is only suggested for the convenience of the mother. Someone mentioned about the human vs person issue. Interesting point... though I do think that human rights suggests that all those of the human species deserve those rights, like the right to life...

    When is it a baby?

I think somoeone mentioned common sense a little while ago. People keep throwing specific dates around (such as 40 days, 3 months, 5 months, etc) at which a 'foetus' becomes human. Wouldn't it be common sense to ask WHY it doesn't become human at the point of conception? I don't understand why...
