    Inverse Fuctions

Wow, seriously? That sounds so interesting! If eletrical engos built cooler things, perhaps i would've taken that course instead xD Oh ahahahaha i see xD Fair enough :)

    Major!

^ +1 I suggest you guys get the major over and done with ASAP, it'll make your life easier later ;)

Dream atar that may not become reality?

It depends on your ranks and school, but never give up hope. Some very odd things happy during year 12...

How do you study? those aiming 90+

Study smarter not harder! Make sure you're doing the study sessions in short bursts, you'll remember more that way :)

    Inverse Fuctions

You have to do it the long way because you don't learn hyperbolic functions explicitly in the HSC courses and they asked for it in terms of log. But it is indeed sinh inverse :)

Why does english standard and advance scale the same according to ATAR calculator???

Re: Why does english standard and advance scale the same according to ATAR calculator It's not a theory, it is a fact. The advanced and standard streams of english are scaled as one but aligned differently; see the document below, page 29...

HSCers! What were YOU actually doing during Prelims?

Enjoy high school while you can, year 11 is as bludgy as it gets in senior years. If you're motivated enough, go get a job.

How To Get Your Dream ATAR

You must be blind. I'd do it all over again; i got everything i wanted with my ATAR. Managed to get into uni and my dream course, got an the one scholarship (and others) that i wanted and pleased my family without compromising much of my social life. But, if i were to aim for 99.95 instead in...

    Do you like it?

I love most aspects of uni - the open environment, the freedom and the awesome people/societies. I do hate how some courses do not have books that correspond chronologically to the course/lecture outline, but that's my only complaint so far. Oh and massive 3/4 hr breaks such that lectures are...

    What should i drop?

^ I'd rather get a high band 5 for economics than a band 6 in general But seeing as you seem to want to do general, do general. Enjoy counting boxes to find the gradient/slope of lines :)

    Red Dead redemption?

*nods* After i somehow manage to catch up on uni work :)
  13. annabackwards

    Red Dead redemption?

Hmmm i may buy it now, especially if it is long. I hate games that have ridiculously short single player modes.

    Superfail

No youtube vids that i know of, you just have to be there and see random body painted kids doing odd dances in lectures etc etc
  15. annabackwards

    all nighters

Yeah, i do them quite regularly. Usually i'm out with friends and heap of money to burn in the city or i'm having a movie/gaming marathon :)
  16. annabackwards

    Titration.

Doesn't matter but if your indicator is phenolpthalein, i suggest you put the the acid in the conical flask as colourless to pink is easier to see than the other way around :)

Give up computer games for HSC. Yay or Nay?

If you're addicted to games like I am, compromise. Make a realistic list of things you should do by the end of the day and get it all done. Then, game like there's no tomorrow. Repeat :)

    75+ atar

It depends on how smart you are and what you mean by "completely bombing out".
  19. annabackwards

Question on polynomials (3 and 4 unit).

^ +1 Yes, but your tutor will have to teach you all the prerequisite polynomial skills which'll cover 3u polynomials :)

Effort to get 80+ in 4U

Or you could come last and hope that the lowest HSC exam mark from your school is higher than 58 ;)
