It's fine to relax for 1-2 weeks. Like don't completely ditch your study routine - becoming completely complacent will make it difficult when you try to get back into an intense routine - but it's okay to reduce your study load temporarily.

I got 10/20 for my Mod C essay in trials. I ended up getting a 91 in Advanced English. Stay hopeful and keep going. Whilst this is basically my view as well, you can argue that having a good memory in itself can only come 'naturally'.

The thing is, my internals were much better than my externals. Primarily thanks to my cohort which was particularly strong at the top. For me, I underperformed in externals - primarily because I totally bombed out in MC (I think I got around 12/20 when I'd usually get 18-19/20) for the HSC...

Hence, the key is to know the syllabus itself inside out. Just name dropping relevant syllabus-terms will please the marker in your extended responses. Well, I was the person to stay up back then but make sure you have enough energy too! I was the 'cram in 2-3 days and lack of past papers'...

There's seriously no right answer to your question. I'd give priority to the 'normal' syllabus content. The first 80 marks (20 MC, 40 SA and 20 Business Report Section III) don't require you to draw upon case study material. Plus, with Section IV, you can always make up case...

You must be very confident in Physics and Chemistry outscaling it :p I actually thought Physics could outscale my Business at one point.

From my perspective, finance short answers (minus calculating the ratios and interpreting the ratios you get) tend to be the toughest relative to the other topics. They tend to require some 'understanding' as well. I'd think that most students prefer operations and marketing over finance and HR...

A Finance-only assessment/topic test is the toughest thing in Business Studies basically, even tougher than trials in my view.

It's all speculation until you get back your marks. 2U Mathematics? Expecting 90+ for Business from you (at least) :p Did you do a CSSA/independent/school-written paper for Business?

Doesn't matter because your linking sentences on exam day will be geared towards the given question anyways. So it's a blessing in disguise, in essence, since it forces you to attack the question :p

Back in the day, my conclusions in Year 12 Advanced English essays averaged about 1-2 sentences. Even in the HSC exams (externals). I usually spent the last few seconds doing my conclusion and finished on the dot. I'd be insanely lucky to hit 3-4 sentences. It really depends on the marker...

    P's Test advice

2 options: - do your P1 test again but for manual. - wait until you can do your P2 test. Most people do the latter.

General rule of thumb for me, when it came to the mini-essay (5-6 marker), was ''it's fine to re-use some textual evidence (quotes/techniques) from the previous parts but ideally, it's good practice to incorporate some new textual evidence too''.

    UNSW Chit Chat Thread

Re: UNSW Chit Chat Thread 2015. I wouldn't be surprised if 75% of your final exam = recycled seminar/PASS questions though, or else the fail rate won't look pretty. I heard they implemented changes in summer school of 2014-15 and the fail rate was 30%. I doubt the fail rate was 30% in Sem 1...

Re: UNSW Chit Chat Thread 2015. Yet there were still some people getting passes and credits. What even. Well you can blame Sem 2 2014 (and the semesters before it). They were walking into finals with 42/40 (they get 2 bonus marks for full attendance - we didn't have that). Sem 1...

There aren't many subjects that can match or better MX1's scaling (MX2 and some Extension languages). Even if you're average in MX1, it can definitely outscale your Physics. Funnily enough, my MX1 and MX2 internal ranks were both worse than my Physics rank.

At one point in Year 9, I was sure that I'd pick Chemistry and Physics. By Year 10, I was contemplating upon the humanities trio of Economics, Business and Legal. Ended up with Economics, Business and Physics (one science cause it's Science - it was my choice really cause my parents had no...
