WAM Needed for IPT into Law

Historically, it's been around 78-79 WAM. You should be okay.

    Best Law Electives to Take?

I'd highly recommend that you ask on the UOW Law Society/Students facebook group page (assuming that there is one). I'm sure there'll be older students who would love to pass down their experiences with certain subjects. You'll get limited responses on BoS.

IQ and EQ are not enough

An interesting article about a third measure that people never talk about, yet could be the most important. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/iq-eq-enough-you-need-grit-too-yoshito-hori?trk=hp-feed-article-title-channel-add

I've done the calculations and I'm sure that all 4 subjects from this semester have been included.

Stream declaration 'glitch'. Oh well, it'll be confirmed soon.

Not even nervous because of the stream declaration thing. Already know that my new WAM (and consequently term WAM and all) so basically now I just get to see where I totally stuffed up :(

Expecting to see that first pass based on the WAM change. Not keen for tonight [emoji31]

Only your Business School WAM for that specific calendar year (assuming you've done at least 24 UOC i.e. 4 subjects in that calendar year - to account for double degrees), rather than your cumulative/program WAM. So let's say person A's 1st year Business School WAM is 65 in 2016, and their 2nd...

Got it for 2nd stage with 83.5. 2015 'Business School WAM' was 83.5 (my overall 2015 WAM was lower though - due to my other degree).

85+ average is 'do-able' for 1st year combined Law, given that you only do 1 law subject per semester. Different story when you start doing 2 law subs per sem, 3 law subs per sem and eventually 4 law subs per sem. Don't worry too much about ILJ. I think you'll get a better indicator of where...

The myunsw stream declaration 'trick' that has been discussed in the last few points. I think all 4 subjects have been included for me by now.

Feels when your overall WAM dropped by nearly 2. Expecting that Admin law was a big reason for that.

    Actuarial/Adv maths at uni

Misread it haha Read the title and thought they were asking about the combined degree Actuarial/Adv Maths.

    Actuarial/Adv maths at uni

From what I'm aware, if you're doing Actuarial Co-op, you have to take it as a single degree. If you don't get the Co-op offer, then you are free to do Actuarial/Adv Maths. As for whether you should put Actuarial (Co-op) or Actuarial/Adv Maths as your first preference, I'll leave that question...

Honestly, Admin isn't too bad but I just didn't click with it and I spent little time on it overall (plus, I had the worst lecturer/teacher I've had ever). Like if Law is a field of landmines, my Admin experience was basically me stepping on a landmine. Can't go through Law unscathed :haha...

Year 11 Selective Applications, Have I Messed Up?

Given your current English mark and rank (plus your current school), getting into Baulko will be a difficult task. I wouldn't put all my eggs in 1 basket in your situation. Perhaps try for 1 or 2 more schools if possible. Schools that have entrance exams tend to place less emphasis on your...
