I do Godot so Im not too sure about the connection between Heaney and Metro but would it be mostly connected through the tensions between social and political class? Although that just depends on your related text lol.Also is anyone doing Worlds of Upheaval for their elective study? No you only need to talk about two prescribed texts (I seriously doubt they would ask to talk about all three anyway, it would not allow for the depth usually expected by ext students anyway)
you dont want to explain the beliefs of the literary theorists. but you want your study of the literary theorists to inform your opinions about the excerpts. I think what you would do is go 'blah blah blah is aligned with the literary philosophies of [literary theorist here]' and thats as far as the mentioning of the theorists goes. theres also the possibility that the excerpts won't really even allow for the mention of literary theorists. it comes down to whether the excerpt(s) are talking about writing, or are writing. theory v fictionGuys what types of literary theories are you planning to incorporate in your responses? I’m only memorising my entire essay word for word. But my essay’s pretty adaptable cause my quotes align with multiple themes so I just change what I’m talking about in the para but keep the quotes the same if that makes sense.

But I agree I think it's too late to get comfortable with a new text - I'm just overthinking it since even though my discussion is confined to a single episode it DOES follow a larger story so it's not like Black Mirror or anything.
