oh T-T, i wanna study music 2 but they don't offer it
actually i just checked the website and it looks like its different from applying full time. "other educational providers" are able to apply to the school but they have to fill out paperwork as to why they cant provide stuff and have to pay 800 a year. you can ask your school, but i wouldnt get your hopes up.

i already asked my school. they said if any other students in our diocese wanna do it (like 5 people) then i could. but there was only one other person, meaning they can't hold a cluster class for us. My hopes were already down, thanks though!

no. you need to be enrolled in a public school to do distance education. if youre in catholic you can enroll in something called the online education centre, but they offer less subjects i think and you can only take one subject https://oec.lism.catholic.edu.au/
ik someone who did SDEHS at a priv school so yeah nah

guys just curious what are your subject selections for next year?
English Advanced, English Extension, Maths Advanced, Maths Extension, Studies of Religion 1, PDHPE, Physics, Italian Continuers

Does anyone know how much study a week should I be doing to perform well in these subjects? I was thinking about 2 hours per unit per week so about 26 hours.

For language learning, spacing out study sessions throughout the week can improve memorization. For your math adv, ex1 math, and physics, consistent daily practice for about an hour per subject is recommended! Make sure to dedicate additional time to subjects that you may be struggling so you reach transfer level! they're all hard subjects i'd say... so you have to sacrifice time to do well :3

Thank you! Yes I have heard that high maths needs an hour a day to do well, especially because I want to do Ext 2 in year 12. And physics is maths-based so probably the same. Other subjects I’ll just make sure I’m doing practise questions often.

for pdhpe, ur main aim to be understanding and memorising content. i normally spend 30min-1hr depending on what I learnt on the day by blurting notes and making them as flash cards :)
just know that + syllabus and ur g

it really does depend on the subject and the person. some people take longer to process information whereas others take less time to study the same material. also keep in mind that most people study way less during yr 11. most people who do well study about 3 hours a day (in hsc). once you get into the routine of study, youll be able to figure out what time is right for you based on how well youre able to keep up with the syllabus

how to keep consistent with it for the whole year? I've always just did a bunch of revision the week of tests at most

Say you are correct that most Year 12's think better scaling subjects is the way to go, and therefore doing those 5 subjects, but at what point does that give you the right to call them/ a specfic group of them boring? Did you avoid the line between 'boring' and 'interesting' just by picking modern history? or did you develop this ideal when others chose what you havent? Most selective school students deserve to be there, and they have the brain to know what they want/ would be better for them to pick. Theoretically, they may not pick engineering as they really do think that the five subject would be more beneficial to them then engineering studies which, wouldn't you say, it a valid reason! Still can't see where you earned the right to judge selective students doing A5 for a high atar/ better scaling although they could do something they may be more passionate about. Although it may be their teachers, tutors and school who tell them this, who are they to know better? That's what they were taught, that's what they know, that's what they trust. Calling someone 'boring' for their subject pick? Genuinely pathetic
I hope you've realised by the other three people telling you this, but its not that deep and I was more so calling the specific subject choices boring than the actual individuals - I basically did A5 and all of my study friends did A5. However I must also say, your inability to let something like this go definitely confirms my stereotype 🤣. Go study your boring subjects 😜
